39 weeks tomorrow and after another growth scan and a few potential doubts/unknowns the decision is made that he is being served his eviction notice on friday via c-section.
That is of course unless he makes a more natural appearance before then (we're now working through the list of old wives tales to see if any work!)
Perhaps I won't get to change a suspension arm and ball joint on the car on saturday
Well none of the old wives tales seemed to work so he was evicted on Friday afternoon. That is of course unless he makes a more natural appearance before then (we're now working through the list of old wives tales to see if any work!)

It was super chilled in the operating theatre, but amazing at the same time with so many people and much equipment there all for us. There was immediate skin to skin with mum and I still got to cut the cord.
Little one was a healthy 7lb 4oz and other than being a bit grunty/full of fluid for the first 12 hours he is doing all OK.
Considering how big an operation it is, the OH is up and about remarkably well.
Just getting used to the sleep deprivation!

Mrs H is 39 weeks today, we've gone for elective c-sec and were on a waiting list, but got "the call" earlier today and Master H is due to be evicted on Monday.
Master H was duly evicted on Monday gone, and my experience from the dad's POV is pretty much the same as gazapc's, save for a tiny bit more chonk at 8lb 6oz!The guys and girls working in the NHS really are bloody brilliant!
And someone mentioned sleep? I've heard of that, but I think it must be a myth!!
We are just in the middle of another virus or bug whatever just hit us.. completely wiped us and needles to say pointless A&E waiting times. (Fortunate to have private too but no help without going through GP first which takes days)
I salut everyone who managed to grow up a child(ren) and managed to steer through work in this country, similar to Carl I've also given up really just checking how soon we can start the transition.

Same here, I have had this cold for about 1.5 weeks now, little one has been ill as well, both of us coughing away last night. You must really hate sleeping Hopefully in a few years, the older ones will help with the little ones and you can sit back and relax a little... still thats a long way off

We’re waiting for number three to pop out, it won’t be long now. I’m pleased to say that our other two who are nearly 6 and just 4 are excellent sleepers and generally brilliant little people, but we’re not in denial about all the struggles involved in getting to this stage
This is definitely the last though!
This is definitely the last though!

39 weeks now... it feels close! Bought everything we need and more in the sales. Madness to think we’ll be giving it all away on Facebook before long. Time to book myself in for the snip methinks.
This post of mine didn’t exactly age well did it…Currently sat in mat triage with the wife at 41 weeks and 5 days getting ready for inducement after she fainted this afternoon.
Fairly delayed rejoin of the thread but better late than never
Long night / day ahead I reckon.
And yes I am booked in now!
And yes we did give all the tat away and have had to repurchase a lot of it!

You mean were excellent sleepers until number 3 screams through the night and wakes everyone up multiple times a night lol. This is definitely the last though!
I’m sure you will be fine and have the other 2 in the west wing away from the screaming.

Our little smashers sleep through anything and ‘the wife’ and baby will be at the other end of what is a long landing from me, so fingers crossed it’ll be a breeze for me I’m sure you will be fine and have the other 2 in the west wing away from the screaming.
