Looking back there were quite a few of these programs on at the time. Another that springs to mind was called Dont Try This At Home. They had a guy try to jump over a speeding Lotus Esprit as it came towards him, unfortunately this went a bk with terrible results, he didn’t jump high enough and caught his foot on the windscreen as the car passed under him, they even showed it in slow motion afterwards so you could clearly see his shattered foot and ankle flailing about. vomit
I remember that, especially the foot getting smashed!
IIRC that was on the Barry Sheene/ Kenny Lynch show Just Amazing. Although if it is the one i am thinking of, he was used to jumping over Lotus but went with a De Lorean and that was what caused the issue as the De Lorean is about an inch and a half higher but i could be wrong.
My memory of that incident deffo does not include a DeLorean. I remember he decided to bail as he wasn't happy with something, then decided as it was being filmed to go for it anyway and yeh, his foot didn't clear the screen, He'd cleared it in practice although not sure that was with the car underneath or to the side of him IYSWIM
The practice was filmed with the car to the side IIRC. The camera was positioned so that you could see if he would make it or not.

He then did the live jump in the path, which hit his foot.

I have spent a while this evening watching these Sting live videos.

If you don’t like Sting turn the sound down.

And of course John Noakes climbing Nelson's Column with some ladders, a few ropes and a couple of geezers smoking roll-ups

Jesus. I do a fair amount of climbing and that overhang is no joke - especially without a harness! Mental. As one of the commenters on YouTube said - 'How did anyone make it out of the seventies alive?!'

It's rated E6 from memory. Presumably without ladders.

It does look convincing until they turn on the 'smoke' trails...but it also says it's from a sim in the blurb underneath too...
