I just came across this film which is in keeping with this thread & thought some may find it as interesting as I did. It's about 30mins long and some of it's about the disappearance of New York's mole people, but they're also in some old subway stations as well.

Amazing video, cheers.
Agreed, a great watch.
Awesome, loved it!

Don't do much anymore as flying solo can be a bit dodgy.

Anyroad, went to Abersoch a couple of years back and on the road going in is this old hotel, used to be known as the white house. I did have a look around for an easy access at the time but gave up after doing a full circuit at ground level and seeing it all boarded up (lightweight I know).
A couple of the upper windows were open and I am pretty sure the curtains were moving on what was a very still day.

Went back past it last week and it looks worse but is now all fenced off so didn't bother stopping.

These are the shots I took last time, anyone else been there/ seen it/ bought it??

There's something very 'Daphne du Maurier' about that place for some reason.

Still looks exactly like that - as far as I know, local developer bought it but couldn't get planning permission to develop it into a much larger hotel.

I think urban exploration is very cool, but. People crawl through other people's st?

Dedication or madness?

Some I took last summer. This is now a building site. No trace left of any buildings or greenhouses.

That's really sad, I stayed there a few years ago, it was going down hill then, the restaurant was not good and the room had seen better days but it does have good views and is an easy walk to the Harbour.

Someone in my ex's 'in laws' used to own it- chap called Paul Davidson (aka 'The Plumber') who was based in Prestbury. He had a protracted fight with the FSA over an inside trading offence which resulted in him temporarily becoming bankrupt. I'd imagine this coincided with the White House becoming defunct.

A band I played in as a kid used to practice in the 'dungeon' of one of these mills... (The basement part, which had been used for storage. It was under the water level of the canal, and pretty damp, dark and with low ceilings, hence naming it the dungeon. Though we were 16, and found a whole load of jazz mags stashed between the boxes, so we were happy), and the dark red one was part owned by my family until a few years ago! I'd be interested in any more pics you have.

He sounds like a pretty interesting character.

I used to work at Euston station and once got offered a ride on this railway by some posties. didn't take them up on it as it would have put my job at risk. Slight regret now!

He is. He eventually won against the FSA, bought Real Mallorca (if I remember rightly) and has now developed a new pipe fitting for the oil industry that looks set to make him another fortune. Good luck to him.

He's a very straight talking guy, very down to earth. He used to have Louis Edward's old box at Old Trafford and 20 or so season tickets just below it. The box would be for guests, the seats in the stands for him. I remember him being dropped into Manchester city centre after a match one day, absolutely sozzled in the back of an X5.

Good on him, he's at least playing the game!
