I was watching highlights of the Sweden Rally on TV last night, and had a little chuckle at the name of one of the stages:

Funny, but sad really. The guy must be an alcoholic.

Scarily easy to do though.

There was a breathalyser service the morning after on most of the BTaPs and it was enlightening (and frightening) how much over the limit one could be the next day.

Having said that, who has a heavy night the night before a job interview?

Reading the article and it transpires that the panel continued with the interview for an hour, and then took some time to find a traffic officer for advice. I think we can easily assume that he's had probably a good two hours of extra 'sobering up time' since he got to the interview, on top of whatever sleep he got...

...so the lunatic in question must have been significantly further over the limit (he blew 47 Micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, the limit is 35) when he got into his car that morning to drive to the interview. Plus, how the juddering fk does someone who, according to the interviewer, stank so strongly of stale alcohol that it became overpowering within the room, not realise that it's a pretty stupid idea to drive to a Police HQ for a job interview while unfit to drive due to excessive consumption of alcohol. It beggars belief!
