Personally, I think it's brilliant, and I'd have no problem with them as neighbours.

Whilst I fully agree with the opposition to Christmas commercialism being thrust down our throats from mid-October onwards in shops, I've never understood the antipathy people feel towards normal people putting up Christmas lights on their houses.

I think I'm erring with alorotom on this, not my thing per se but if the cable could be concealed I think it would look quite effective in a urban/post industrial/hipster/minimalist/whatever, type environment.

Even so, surely you'd be able to knock one up yourself for a fiver?

Wouldn’t even know where to start - but there again I can’t even use postcrete without it going disastrously wrong lol

I was assuming you'd be able to find the concrete part ready-made in a builders' merchant or similar. From there, you've only got to drill the right-sized hole in it and add the light fixture...

But that's not the point, what price artistic design. How much would Damien Hurst charge?

Power cut (yes, I’m aware not generating your own power and selling it to the grid is befitting of this thread).

Child needs hot food. Can’t be arsed to break out the camping gear or light the bbq.

KFC or McDonald’s?

More like £45 for a 99p bulb and a free lump of concrete.

Benefits Britain, the great benefits handout.

It’s quality poverty telly. Give some Councilites an entire year’s benefits in one lump sum. They have to sign off benefits though. Then watch them throw bundles of 20 quid notes around like confetti, and blow the lot on crap, within a month, whilst simultaneously getting evicted from their council house, because they’re not on benefits anymore. Class act that laugh

It can have a sandwich and like it. It doesn't need hot food if it's old enough to eat fast food.
