yes A triumph of engineering over physics imo. Just imagine how good the Booster/Cayman could be if they weren't hamstrung by having to be the lesser car.

A BMW Mini isn't really a BMW Mini, it's too big and s actually a BMW Morris Minor. Albeit FWD and trendy.

The later ones definately. The early ones evoked the spirit of the Mini, but every new model seems to get bigger and bigger. BMW Maxi perhaps ?

A zombie apocalypse could be rather fun.
I've often though how cool it would be, to be one of a handful of survivors of an apocalypse or zombie invasion.
I used to daydream about this. I could have any car I wanted, just jump in and drive. I could try my hand at flying a plane. Jump into a boat of any type and have a wee sail! Build all sorts of Mad Max style vehicles.

Of course reality might be a bit different. In 10yrs everything would be degrading and probably stop working. Petrol would run out, dead bodies everywhere.
Knowing my luck the only other survivor in my area would be Ten Ton Tess from down the street who would develop an infatuation for me.
Doesn't petrol start to degrade after only a few months? You could probably find something like an old Peugeot diesel and run it on almost anything, but I would imagine most modern cars would become useless relatively quickly. Lack of medicine and sanitation would likely be the biggest problems though.
My favourite book is 'Day of the Triffids', apart from the lethal vegetation there is a quite a lot of stuff relating to what the world would be like of an apocalyptic event. The main character ends up running around in a half-track. The book is far better then any of the TV adaptations.

I don't see the point in them. When Top Gear drag raced one against a Mac F1 in Dubai the F1 was monstering it up to 120mph, the speeds people would use it in the real world. This is from a car 20 years its senior, with four less cylinders and no turbos.

A friend argues it's a GT. bks, it's got 40 litres of luggage capacity, a GT that can't take your luggage is a pretty hopeless GT.

It's a vanity exercise bought by vain people.

I hated all Porsches for years, probably out of bitterness and jealousy. I then drove a 987 which was rather good and changed my opinion, but then I drove a 997.2 and it was a revelation and I fell in love. A year or so later I bought one, which had become my dream car by then, and the next four years I spent with it will probably be the best years I ever spend motoring. I won't say I gelled with it right away, but after about a year I became infatuated with everything 911 and that's going to stay with me until I die now.

Offer me a 458 Speciale or my old 997 back and I'd take the Porker in a heartbeat. Now *that* makes zero sense, but the point I'm getting at really is that it's not until you drive one that you realise just what a machine they are.

And I still get that some people hate them even then laugh
Hmm. I’m the other way round. I ran a 993 Carrera for 2 years back when they were new.
I loved it.
But having owned one, I felt I’d ticked that box. No desire to go back at all. I respected it hugely. It was great fun to drive but didn’t spark a lifelong passion.
I occasionally look at 911s now and can never really get excited about owning another. I’d be more interested in the Cayman, especially if they ever had the balls to put a proper turbonutter bd engine in it.

I'm not sure that one is unpopular. I happen to think that ever increasing regulations are stifling designers creativity. Regs wouldn't allow you to pen an E-Type or Pagoda today.

FC3S to FD3S RX7 disproves this theory.

Make-up on women .... less is better. See so many with it plastered on and it looks terrible.

Nor is it particularly unpopular, being in the majority as you are. Most people haven't seen it. Just that it generates a lot more talk than other shows of similar viewing numbers.
