I've never watched GoT and I have no interest in doing so.
people say this like they are being forced to watch it. I find that a bit odd. I used to like it, and i think the popularity of it coasted on a few really good seasons... and even weathered the storm of a few st ones... with the most recent one being one of the worst things ever to have graced TV, IMHO. Internet hype for years since s7 built it up and up, and it simply proved that the american way of writing for TV is just ste. They paint themselves into corners, wing it, get characters to do weird 'out of character' things just to shake things up, and ultimately they fail to understand often the whole point of the thing they are doing, and that the fans are emotionally invested in these characters for basically a decade. The glitz overtakes the story. That and the fact that they tried to cram about 5 seasons worth of story into a few episodes, failed to round off some of the long story arcs, just got the cadence and the feel all wrong... it really jarred. I feel sorry for the actors.

I've never been bothered by it. I would like to see Breaking Bad mind, but we haven't got Netflix. Seriously? I could go turn on my TV now and find 100 things worse than the last series of GoT.I know it wasn't as good as the earlier ones, but... well, Hollyoaks for example. Even the best ever episode of Hollyoaks.
Everything that has ever happened on QVC.
That 80's Brit Awards hosted by Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood.
Any sport ever.
I could go on but you get the idea.

Retards posting “When my car was in for service” threads. Anyone posting this sort of nonsense deserves a bullet to be lodged into their brains for clarity, the utter fktards.
Firstly the R word is red card offence, but i am not even sure i know what sort of threads you are referring to...?TameRacingDriver said:
Today I learned people get upset by the word retard.
Christ almighty...
(sorry for the blasphemy for anyone offended by that too).
I would add an unpopular opinion that people are WAYYYY too easily offended these days, but it wouldn't exactly be unpopular.
I don't think you were trying to state an unpopular opinion there, but I do think you're in the minority there. Retard is fairly roundly accepted as an offensive word, and it isn't a recent thing.Christ almighty...

A zombie apocalypse could be rather fun.
I don't think that is an unpopular opinion. The slow zombies represent mankind's lumbering regression, and the idiocracy that we are seeing today. The rise of an underclass unwittingly destroying society as we know it with their groupthink consumerism and blind following of fashions and trends. The literal race to the bottom. It is a fight against a wave of humanity which will eventually swallow us all.
I mean, who wouldn't want to remove the head of the cast of TOWIE et al and their legions of brain dead followers?
Vive la résistance!
And that is also why fast zombies are wrong.

Tom Segura got in hot water for using the "R word" in his stand-up. Always seemed like a fairly lighthearted word to me, but there you go. Christ almighty...

It's a recent enough addition to the 'unacceptable' list. Hard to keep up.

I'm from North East england, so probably regarded as a knuckle dragger by our southern friends. None of my friends or me are remotely offended by it and some of our 'banter' is probably rather extreme by some peoples standards if that word upsets them...
I'll consider myself educated on the matter!

Of course it's offensive. It's an insult, intended to offend, otherwise what's the point in using it? You'd have to be some kind of not to realise that.I'm from North East england, so probably regarded as a knuckle dragger by our southern friends. We just use it as banter, simple as that really. I just didn't realise it was THAT bad. Obviously I don't use it at work, but then everyone is offended by everything there I mean, it's not even censored so it can't be that bad right? (unlike the word m0ng)
