One of the things I quite like about ordering this stuff from the Far East is that it turns up ages later after you've forgotten you bought it.
Last week I received a Bluetooth adaptor that I ordered off eBay from a supplier in China
I honestly had completely forgotten about the order and I just checked my eBay history and and it looks like I placed the order in March 2020!!!!
I've got one at home, took 6 months to come and only just found it after another 6 months. I can't for the life ot me remember what it does or why i bought it.Last week I received a Bluetooth adaptor that I ordered off eBay from a supplier in China

I bought one of these for about 120 quid:
Useless. Took me 3 hours to get it even vaguely lined up to find the bed is warped, then on the first run I did within a couple of minutes it slackened itself off and went to cock again. Also has so much EMI that it triggers the end-stops every time the spindle runs for more than a second or two.
To top it all it came with a laser engraver which appears to have an absence of viable setting between shining a dim light on the part and setting fire to it
Trying to build the enthusiasm to strip and build it again with loctite rather than just overarm throw it into the builder's skip and give it the finger

Here's one but not for the "actually bought" part of this thread. I was looking for parts for a Kawasaki ZX9-R, as one does, and I found one on this ebay store: https://www.ebay.com.au/str/shlsydeny I thought it was unusual that an Ebay store would have a brand new alternator cover and wondered if it was some treasure trove of no-longer-available motorcycle parts. I was wrong.....

£3.70. This one came earlier. I was so impressed I went back and bought a few more circuits. The downstairs loo is full of number plates etc so they will fit nicely in there! Small warning though, cheap crap is now attracting tax which is added at the checkout and a lot of Chinese sellers have stopped shipping to the UK.

They look great! When I get my new garage, I'll be ordering a handful of those. Then my biggest struggle with be making sure they're lined up. Sure I can find something on AliExpress for that too!https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001793756400.h...

I've weaned myself off Ali a bit, mostly because by the time you add the tax there is only a quid or so between Ali and Amazon. That said, I did treat myself to a beautiful Acne Industries scarf for £8 the other week. A friend has the original £250 version and we couldn't tell the difference
I mostly buy watch straps and phone cases these days. The knife interests me though. I have a lovely old wooden handled flick knife that my late Dad carried with him for peeling apples mostly, I use it when I'm in the garden but it's reached the point where it's almost been sharpened to death now so could use a new garden knife....

Opinel knives are lovely. Loads of options available from the factory that aren't readily available in the UK too.I mostly buy watch straps and phone cases these days. The knife interests me though. So I tried my first order with Ali Express this week, but they immediately closed it despite taking the money from my card. Any way to actually succesfuly order from them?
They also keep offering codes, which when you select to add to cart, they come up with some excuse and won't add to the cart, all in all a rather terrible first experience.
