I'm really liking these for some of my shirts where the collar just goes flat without a tie. $60 for the pack, no issues so far with loosing magnets...
Nice. Do you have a link to the product?

I’d be interested in a fully adjustable trouser belt (ie for sizing in between the traditional holes) but with a slim buckle. Everything out there seems to be too chunky!

Search for a plaited belt. M&S do leather and fabric examples.

Cheap UV torch from Amazon. No real use for it at all but it does give a cool effect on some of my diecast models.

I've gone ahead and ordered myself a 90nm torque stick.

I've gone for the 90nm one because my electric gun doesn't have any sort of setting adjustment on it, and it was the lowest one I could find. I want to just get the bolts in at well under the 120nm and then finish off with a torque wrench. I had heard there may be accuracy issues too, so wanted the lowest one so I could then use the torque wrench at the end.

I'm also thinking about buying one of the wheel bolt alignment/wheel hanger tools too. Something like this to hang the wheel on, and then get the other 4 bolts started, then replace with the 5th bolt.

I don't really NEED these things, but I want.

The wheel bolt aligners are very useful and make it easy to align. My Porsche came with them so you don’t hit and chip the ceramic brake discs when changing the wheels.

I have/had one of those wheel bolt alignment things but found it too long and easier to do without it.

Thanks guys.

I had already ordered it before I saw both your posts so I will have to see how it is once it arrives. I tend to change a lot of wheels as I keep my second set on my spares car as well as doing various jobs and tyre fitting. Hopefully it'll be something I can make use of to make things easier and doesn't just sit there going unused because I'm too lazy to grab it/don't like it.

What's the point in that? the wheel will sit on the hubcentric ring.

Maybe in your car, but certainly not mine with any degree of security. The wheels want to hang at maybe 30 degrees from vertical when sitting on the ring. I'm purely guessing but probably something to do with the wheel offset.

You can hold it flush with one hand, but then need to turn it to line up the bolt holes, as well as holding it flush while threading in a bolt, as otherwise the wheel will hang at 30ish degrees and the bolt won't go in.

It's not something I need, but when you're removing and fitting 8 wheels in a go, and perhaps been fitting tyres with tyre levers the same day, then anything that helps to make the job easier is welcome.

Another point is that not every car has those disc retaining bolts on there, so also helps line up the disc with the holes on the hub.

This video might give you a better idea and shows it doesn't sit flush on the hub even with the tool.

Don't need a wheel aligner if your car isn't German.. I always wonder at the German car marques for not having studs on the wheels. Seems crazy for quality of life thing.

Also from a safety perspective - if the nuts do come off, then the wheel doesn't just drop off...

stud conversion. ARP studs and Ti nuts for max. frivolity. using bolts on something you change so frequently is a massive waste of effort.

So, I've been on about getting a new bag for holidays - one with wheels that makes me a proper adult, instead of lugging a holdall about. Now we have two kids, the amount of gear in the bag means I can barely walk with it in one hand, so lugging it through an airport is a right pain in the arse when also dragging the missus' bag, and wearing a rucksack, and keeping an eye on a one of the small children. Thus, I splashed out on a new Karrimor roller holdall.

Wait. That's not very frivolous I hear you say. You'd be correct.

The key difference between the old bag and the new one is, though long enough to include my sons scooter, the new one is too short to take my skateboard. Obviously the proper solution is to send it back and look for a bag the right size.

I didn't do that.

27" Cruiser arrives tomorrow.
