Lovely. They were the first of the new generation of cars which were hand made but not bashed out of sheet aluminium. Although the newer cars are associated with Gaydon the original Vanquish - or certainly the early ones - were built at Newport Pagnell.

Say if you know all this, I can go on for hours.
Please carry on old chap, I know bugger all about them. Other than I've always loved them and wanted one. Especially a Vanquish. I'm in a very fortunate position where I could actually own one.

Two Ford V6's?
Never forget that this particular type of V12 was thoroughly re-worked, re-designed, and re-developed by Cosworth before going on sale. By then there was virtually no Ford heritage left over (though, of course, Cosworth was owned by Ford at the time.)
My particular V12 has developed a persistent misfire that is defying the best minds at Aston.

Of course as a highly skilled aerospace engineer with over 30 years experience in my chosen field I believe that the only recommend course of action to remedy a difficult to diagnose misfire is, use the big hammer!!! Always happy to help! smile

I love the Carrera because of its weight apart from its looks.

I would argue that the watches shown, apart from the Rado, are a little busy. I am a believer in a watch that tells the time without lots of dials and push-buttons and, as some would say, 'makes the tea'.rotate (busy watch).

To answer your question Peri all my watches are checked for date and time each week, They're all quartz movement so they keep pretty good time but all six have a date window so need keeping the date accurate. Solar/eco drive will sleep when not in use but automatics will need regular movement to keep accurate and unless it's radio controlled or perpetual calendar the date will need to be kept, uh, well, up to date!!!

Mine spend most of the time in their boxes tbh
The Rado and Tag need to be reset after a couple of days of not wearing as they are chronograph and rely on movement but the Tissots just keep going. I don't know about you Bobbers but I am not looking forward to all the servicing costs hehe
