as someone who needs a shoe with ample protection on the ankles combined with decent midfoot and toebox volume they just work for me though some of the older ASICS Cumulus range are probably my current go-to as they are slightly 'softer' in the ride.
I've been listening loads to Alan Partridge audio books in the car lately. And just now, in fact, on the way home.Which is probably why the above comment played out in my head in AP's voice as I read it

Shows as coming soon on the adidas website?? They are not on the app.
Think you may have missed them tbh!
Just found them on Footpatrol! Thanks for the help!Think you may have missed them tbh!
Decided with the black version in the end. As much as I love the leopard print, I know I'll only wear it a few times.

Following the demise of my other trainers I took the advice TheJimi offered around Vibram soles and while looking around found some discontinued Reebok Kinetica 2.5 Edge in the sale with an extra 10% off on top of the reduction, they didn't have the colour I wanted in my size so I've gone with something a bit lighter on the midsole than I'd normally like.
They're quite similar to the ones they're replacing, just 10x cheaper and likely to last much longer

I prefer this colour but came along too late...
I haven't worn Reebok for a long time so I ordered in a couple of sizes to see what works for my feet, the lead time from them direct seems to be 5-7 days.

Vibram soles will be a proper upgrade from what you've been buying so far, imo.
Those look pretty decent, certainly nicer looking than your usual offerings, but still very you
Maybe I'll find something a little less odd that my daughter doesn't laugh at this time.

A no from me, I don't get why he is given such a platform by adidas tbh!
He's never really got even close to the 97s again has he? I picked up the last pair of Orketro's he did but they were just off-white and sustainable. Nothing special I just liked the look of them without the SW link. He's doing some clever stuff with materials, I'd be more interested in him doing this on a larger scale with Adidas rather than his own limited pairs. That way it'd have more of an impact.

I get he is into the environment so maybe he should be part of the Parley project adidas do?
The size? sale brought up some trainers I've looked at a few times but deemed a bit too expensive for what they were, in a surprising twist of fate my size was the only one they had in stock, they came today and they fit perfectly and are incredibly comfy.
Vegan-friendly, recycled so I'm not worried about the planet now, Vibram sole (thanks again TheJimi), gaudy as heck so fit with my usual aesthetic but without being 2" wider or longer than they need to be. I'm hopeful that the lack of "premium" branding and things like dust bags etc will also mean they last longer than a walk to the end of the road.

I can only tick 2 off, I swerved the school uniform guidance to buy Dunlop Green Flash and had Inter Squash to satisfy the non marking sole rules and haven't really committed to Nike or Adidas "fashion" ones.

Whilst I agree, I would buy them. Not because of SW but because I love indoor gazelles and I love green. https://www.thegoodlifespace.com/adidas-originals-...
