About the murder of the Saunders chap with the strange first name, you were all correct, long running feud with another section of the traveller community.

We had the same thing on a car park on the local common, fortunatrly we live the orther side. Long running feud, car park set up for a fight to settle it, only one of them got shanked. I was driving past the entrance on my way back from Heathrow late on the Friday night it all happened, wondered etc had gone off.
Yep
Being an unsympathetic right wing facist/ realist/ whatever.
As soon as I saw the picture of him and the "cleansed " reporting in some areas I just knew it was a confrontation.
Funny how they contribute so little yet so much will be being spent on this

can't remember

Does getting beaten to death with a shovel, in a service station, by a fellow 'traveller', as the result of a feud, guarantee him a place in 'traveller' Valhalla? It just seems like the most stereotypical of deaths. Only Tarmac and lucky heather missing.

Probably counts as "natural causes" for the caravan lot.

I'm on my annual holiday on the Yorks coast, and as ever , the advance guard of scaby horses tied to average on a busy A road have arrived, the caravans and thefts will come shortly. Shame the RSPCA will do fk all for them...the horses, not the travellers, although both probably need putting down.

The keep mentioning Donald Trump's ban on travellers on the radio. That's what I hear anyway, turns out it's a ban on travellers from certain countries. Come on Donald, do the right thing.

There's a group back on the other side of the A4 Bath Road from Prospect Park in Reading. Ponies and all.

Made an interesting juxtaposition to an muslim group having a bbq within 10 metres on Saturday!

Memorial park in Stourport was invaded, removed quickly as committed criminal damage to gain entry.

Now signs up warning people to avoid long grass. Bio hazards. Charming people.

That's not going to work, we want him to take them all in! That bit of desert where they conducted the Manhattan Project should do nicely.

Another massive fking infestation for us overnight. They couldn't get on their preferred place close to the houses and the stream, although they were seen trying, so they took down (and were watched doing so) some Heras fencing around some scrubland at the edge of the village and there they are. Local councillor went to talk to them and reported back that they were a "nasty bunch of people".

They were reported for taking the fence down to get in and…..guess how much action was taken over that. The Untouchables prevail once again. It's useless and hopeless complaining about them because they simply are untouchable. Quite how they are allowed to literally do whatever they like, whenever they like, wherever they like, I do not know. Is there realistically anyone who this could be raised with, who might be even faintly interested in taking any action? It's a low level of anarchy really; how is that tolerated in this day and age?

Over 50 vehicles/caravans (with more showing up) have been reported at the South Winchester Park and Ride this morning, Hants police issuing advice to the Parish councils etc to make sure open spaces/fields are secured.

Bet they aren't getting fined for being at the park and ride with no tickets though !

Some kind of civil prosecution of the council, or the individual responsible members of the council, by the residents of the village, for failing in their duties? It's crazy that there's no proper legal levers that can be applied in this sort of situation.

Corbyn made a manifesto pledge to give travellers MORE rights, remember...

More's to the point, if any of us drove on that land we'd get a section 59 notice pretty damn sharpish. Second offence and vehicle(s) would be seized. So why not then?

Cue, usual virtue signalling stuff about poor misunderstood ethnics being homeless.

I'm still of the mind for a "Well that's just taking the piss /Oh FFS" law. Essentially when a solid set of citizens, when appraised of the facts, have an automatic response of "Oh FFS, that's just taking the piss." Then the accused will be automatically judged guilty of a summary offence.

The special treatment they recieve from the Police baffles me, have some balls and arrest the lot. Be be fair - rather them than me though.....

Recently watched the 24 hours in Police Custody where one was arrested for trafficing. His action in front of the custody sergant was unbelievable. Anyone else would have been taken down and dragged to a cell to cool of, for the Pikie, they just stand there watching him.

The Labour git in charge of where my brother lives is making noise about Sandwell becoming a "safe sanctuary" for Esox.
I bet if they rocked up next to his house he would be straight on the phone to the police.

Thing is, if you go back to 20s Sheffield and the East end gangs, the cure was essentially the police showing that they, the police, were a bigger gang with bigger teeth. Unfortunately that's the only language that some of the mathematical locksmiths understand. Policing was very different in those days apparently including numbers and accountability.

In many ways neither we nor the police want to go back to those days, but in essence Britain is policed by consent. When a certain element refuse to give their consent then they need a strong message, e.g. those kids in the other thread, travellers another lot, drug gangs another set, paedo gangs another. Problem is too many easily led prepared to rise up and protest when action taken and not prepared to acknowledge that their community contains problem children.

What was it Insp Gadget once opined? Something along the lines that every area could immediately on request identify the top ten problem families, bang them up and crime rate and disorder would drop markedly. These comments are to be taken as aimed generally and not particularly nor exclusively at travellers before anyone feels victimised.

Little new link regarding the previous post

http://www.hampshirechronicle.co.uk/news/15388997....

I particularly like the Councils statement that the 'travellers' are not affecting the park and ride but the Police are stating they are....

I certainly wouldn't leave my car there all day with them present !
