£50 worth of car cleaning product.... i only needed some polish.
I feel your pain, I bought snow foam, shampoo, and interior cleaner, along with a DAS6 pro DA polisher, pads and compound... plus an SSD for one of the laptops, hampers for my 2 married daughters, Lego for my Grandson, a Frozen dress from Disney for the Granddaughter.

Can't get any clear Briwzx or Green decking paint delivered though.

Must not look at Aston Martins...

First I got this...

But realised I needed one of these (got a drill and chainsaw on the same battery system, and it works, so gone with it rather than corded - it won't get a huge amount of hammer)

But then realised I need some metal so got about 5 square metres of mild steel and some small box section on the way... laugh

Mrs won't let me buy a broken mobility scooter, apparently I've got enough 'st' with the six bangers. laugh

May I caution you to try to get some lessons on using that welder, from a professional. Well worth it, otherwise, your first splodges will look crap, and you'll have no idea what you are doing wrong.

I want the most frivolous thing in the world. I want a radio controlled submarine for a pond I'm making in the back garden.

It has to be small, R/C taking real time video and sending it to my phone. In other words I want to create a real subnautica in my back garden. I want to sit on my deck chair and slowly explore the pond every few weeks to see the changes. It might get a bit murky occasional after rain etc so also wanting small but powerful leds on the front to add to the undersea atmosphere.

I will occasionally throw into the pond a packet of dry mix monsters and alien vegetation to help the scenery.

BTW the pond I have dug is twelve meters long and about three meters wide and goes down to 1 meter depth at the bottom.

Oh and if possible the submarine needs a way of defending itself from the large predictors which will inevitably form from the primeval goo, so mini torpedoes would be nice.

Problem is that no one seems to cater for my frivolity.

So this is more for offshore fishing and may be a bit overkill, (3D FPV viewing and sonar fish finder) but this is the frivolous thread after all...

You can't put that cheap chineseum tat into your multi-gadzillion pounds fishtank. The single review isn't positive either.

Ssooooooo tempting could you find something about half the size and price with the same functionality. Doesn't need to battle the waves in the sea obviously Looking something like stingray with torpedoes not essential but very very wanted.

I feel you have introduced me to the headset idea. I can't shake it now. Damn you!!

I had a similar issue, one of many.

Your one is most definitely posher than mine!

What do you actually do with it? I need to work out what to actually use it for!
Near neighbour moved into a house with a dove box thing, over the years of feeding they've interbred with the pigeons and now they're nesting in gutters and under solar panels (put chicken wire under mine, little f*ckers), bird crap everywhere. This will be an essential purchase, where/how much?
Mine is usually used for keeping the rats/crows under control, or shooting holes in old phones if I'm really bored.
As with all these things, there are multiple price points with good rifles available at all stages, (PCP and springer).

Under £500 will get you a Walther RM8 which is a very, very accurate rifle for the money.
My one pictured above is a Daystate Wolverine-r, cost is c£1500.
Do not google these things.... do not. Must not.
You really should. hehe

I learned to weld years ago in a professional setting. Granted, I've been YouTubing a bit, but I'm sure it'll all come back when I get going.

My dad is an absolute metal genius, he reckons anyone can learn to weld in 30 minutes - they just need years of practice. laugh

I own several ancient and rotting BMW's and too often need a welder - these posts may inspire me to spend a few quid and (try to) weld for the first time in over 30 years.

Pics?

I'm looking to plumb in the jet washer (basic Karcher 3) and perhaps a filtered hose for rinsing, and a hot water heater for similar reasons (combo of lockdown boredom and car / dog washing)
I did a thread on it and not a single reply! Maybe the frivolity factor is greater than the car wash factor

Yeah good effort. I plan to outfit the inner wall to the garage to have a jet wash, normal tap and a hot water jobby.
The reel is so damned expensive though....Or have you a good source ?
