I got my son the moody kit for the new-shape Defender for Christmas. It's bloody brilliant! Really good quality.
£55. And a 'delivered in 8 days' guarantee too. After 14 days I appealed to Ali Express who refunded my money. It arrived the next day
Pretty shameless thing to do in the middle of a pandemic. I ordered a voltage stabiliser for a car from aliexpress. That was 10 day guarantee. After three weeks it hadn't arrived and I got in touch with them but felt a complete ares doing so because the obvious answer was obvious. It finally arrived after nearly a month£55. And a 'delivered in 8 days' guarantee too. After 14 days I appealed to Ali Express who refunded my money. It arrived the next day
Being happy that deliveries are suffering in a pandemic so you get free stuff is st.
I take it all back if you paid up after.

But they came from Amazon so I expect they are relatively easy to obtain.
They are not *quite* as good as the 2kg tub I got for Christmas a couple of years ago, but those were Jelly Belly brand ones and had 50 flavours, and came from Costco.

A parcel just arrived addressed to my wife.
However she said I could open it as it was for me
I’m pretty happy with this:
I confess I went a bit OTT on American Fizz the other day. Expecting 24 cans of Dr Pepper Cream Soda, 24 Cans of proper Vanilla Coke and about 40 lollipops of various US flavours like Birthday Cake and Grape. Cant wait. However she said I could open it as it was for me

i tried to buy a 1988 senna 1:2 replica several times last week. the seller was total ste [non ebay, an actual store] cancelling my order several times without informing me why. on the third go they cancelled again then pulled the page. i can't find one anywhere other than ebay private sellers now.
Whats wrong with Private eBay sellers? Apart from the obvious mark up? Do you want it or not? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOXED-AYRTON-SENNA-ORIG...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-2-Scale-Helmet-Ayrton...
No connection seller etc etc
Also consider looking at non UK country sellers. Some great model sellers in Germany (CK) and France (little bolide)

That gives me an idea, a slab of root beer. Research pending.Just bought this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eazypop-Microwave-Popcorn...
Turns out to be frivolous, as after making the first batch, we don’t really like butter popcorn.
Teach me to order stuff after beer. Correct sweet popcorn incoming.

The proper stuff with sugar and not sweeteners is glorious! Had a few the Darkberry Dr Pepper cans kicking around until recently. Where are you ordering from SoP? geeks said:

I think he means the site American Fizzhttps://americanfizz.co.uk/
I already have a couple of nice mechanical keyboards but I've been wanting one of these for ages. They haven't been in stock in the UK for some time but it looks like some are coming in May.
I already have a full range of power tools but fancied a cordless angle grinder. My main problem with them is that they are big heavy unwieldy things. My mains powered one is a bit intimidating. Especially since I removed the guard and fitted a bigger disk. It has a hell of a kick and likes to run away when it snags on something. It very nearly claimed a finger last year.
I'd mostly be using it to cut 1.2mm aluminium and getting into small spaces would be handy. Anyway, long story short I purchased one of these little 12V bosch professional mini grinders. For bigger jobs or ones that need lots of power then a full size cordless probably wouldnt be much good anyway. I'm hoping this will be a nice half way house between a dremel and a full mains grinder.
Anyway, whilst I was in for a penny I may as well be in for a pound. Also arriving is the following:
12V impact driver (looks to be a surprising amount of torque for a little thing)
12V drill driver
12V mini jigsaw (reviews on this look very good actually)
2x 12V 2Ah batteries
2x 12V 6Ah batteries
Depending how I get on I might also get the small circular saw too, which again has very good reviews and will be less cumbersome than a full size circular.

Links man, links!I did a bit of shopping around, with the use of "top cashback" I think these were about the cheapest I could find:
Impact driver and drill, charger and 2x 2ah batteries:

Barrel grip jigsaw:

2x 6ah batteries:
https://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/bosch-10-8v-gba-1...
1x mini grinder
https://www.howetools.co.uk/checkout/cart/configur...
I'm yet undecided on the mini circular, but if everything else is good then I will probably buy that too:

I want the most frivolous thing in the world. I want a radio controlled submarine for a pond I'm making in the back garden.
It has to be small, R/C taking real time video and sending it to my phone. In other words I want to create a real subnautica in my back garden. I want to sit on my deck chair and slowly explore the pond every few weeks to see the changes. It might get a bit murky occasional after rain etc so also wanting small but powerful leds on the front to add to the undersea atmosphere.
I will occasionally throw into the pond a packet of dry mix monsters and alien vegetation to help the scenery.
BTW the pond I have dug is twelve meters long and about three meters wide and goes down to 1 meter depth at the bottom.
Oh and if possible the submarine needs a way of defending itself from the large predictors which will inevitably form from the primeval goo, so mini torpedoes would be nice.
Problem is that no one seems to cater for my frivolity.
