Not my Mrs but a friend.

A Mrs "So how old are her kids?"
My Mrs "One was born in 2001, so 13 the other in 2003 so 11"
A Mrs "Are they twins?"

Now that was a long labour!

Im surprised so many of them know how to change a tyre. I know I'd struggle without the right tools.

I've done motorbike tyres (tubed) before, road wheels/tyres weren't too bad, narrow motocross wheels were a fking nightmare.

Even with all the correct kit/machinery I couldn't get one of my tyres to seat on my track wheels.
Ended up backing the wheel in a spray booth oven with a hell of alot of PSI.

Tractor tyres are amusing, the standard equipment for breaking the bead is a length of angle iron and a sledge hammer biggrin

I think they mean change the wheel rather than the actual tyre.
Mind always difficult to interpret what women say with any accuracy. scratchchin

I have 1 to add;

New workout DVD set arrives, she reads booklet and it states

Equipment needed : NADA

So she rummages through the box looking for the piece of equipment labelled as a 'nada' as she'd never heard of one before. Then comes to ask me what a 'nada' is.

She realised her stupidity just before asking me
Nope, is it me? confused
No, me too. I'm getting nothing.
Nah, none the wiser.
Eh? Really bad instructions / packaging. Firstly, why bother? Secondly why is it in upper case which implies an acronym.

[awaits parrot]
Still none the wiser, 'nada' as in nothing? Why would you need no equipment? why is it in capitals? why is it in spanish and more importantly, why is it a 'Classic'??????

As one of the 'mums' said all car wheels are alloy.

What is generally refered to as Alloy Wheels is usually either Aluminium Alloy, or less common Magnesium Alloy, but steel too is an alloy.

Nada as in nothing, yes.
You would need no equipment if you can do it on your floor at home (although obviously you need equipment to play the DVD but that's self explanatory).
What's Spanish? It's probably a workout DVD trying to be cool. Brighten up someone's day a bit by using colloquial English instead of stuffy legalese or equivalent.
It's a classic because his missus thought that 'nada' was a thing, whereas she should've known it means she didn't require any special equipment.

Hence it's in the spirit of this thread.

Probably got a built in pulse width modulator, so it gets the full 240V but only for part of the time. Each time you switch the light off and on again it changes the timing so you get a different output.
But doesn't turning a light off an on repeatedly break it? What I've always been told.

Lights have only a certain number of times you can turn them on, so if you turn them on and off it brings them closer to the end of their life.

Erm, you do realise that "Nada" is Spanish for "nothing" don't you? It's not any sort of English, colloquial or otherwise.

It does appear in many English dictionarys.
As will expressions such as "schadenfreude" and "laissez-faire", but they are not English either, even if they are in common or occasional usage. The previous poster seemed to be confused as to what was Spanish, when it was staring him in the face, which, as so often on this thread, made me wonder which is actually the dumber sex.

Hasta la Vista, baby! [that's colloquial English for "Ciao" BTW] smile

Dunno. I've got some 1200 lumen LED spotlights that work like this and one of them broke so maybe you're right.
