I've been going through kit loads since I moved to temp control a couple of years ago.

All trying to get a equivalent quality experience to the Billet Box I bought four years ago.

Hoping the Therion will be it, otherwise I'm going to have to suck it up and spend four hundred notes on the TC Billet Box...
I've only tried a DNA 40 but apparently the 75 is in a different league to YiHi boards? Look forward to hearing how you get on with it, squonking and TC are made for each other; all the benefits off a tanks capacity x 2, and all the flavour of a dripper. Just remember to vape your dripper dry before pocketing!
All arrived yesterday, much to the chagrin of my better half!

It's very, very, nice. Board is easy to configure in escribe, need to play with the preheat settings as first hit is a little soft. Temp control seems very stable - in some ways similar to the yihi except the modulation is completely different. Some can't stand the 'pulsing' of the yihi chip, I don't mind it but the dna75 is very smooth.

Dual 316l claptons, 0.26 ohms, 390f and 42W. Using up some dripper juice I had lying around - when used with a round wire build it had virtually no flavour, this gives it tons.

The delirium atty won't last long I don't think. Raised juice feed and very wide open bottom airflow means more care needed when giving the bottle a squeeze. Will likely get a shorter top airflow atty and be assured of no leaks. Our the glass capped one I saw last night... Seems squonking is best with a dry atty but soaked wick, which is what you'd get with a flush juice feed and no juice wells. Even better flavour than a loaded dripper.

From what I remember, you're just as fussy as I am Steve, I can wholeheartedly recommend the therion bf - really nice bit of kit regardless of price, yet it's really not too bad. It'll look better once the brown leather gains some patina.

Any go to recommendations for a tank in my position?

Using a smok r200 which I find brilliant but using a kanger tank which I got with the kanger sub kit. Using 0.4 or 0.5 ohm coils with 80/20 juice at about 40 watts. Nothing wrong with the kanger if I'm being completely honest, just fancy a change for something better.

I have an aspire triton tank on the shelf which I hardly used but thought I'd give it a go. New coil put in, left it for a while but just felt nasty for some reason, comparatively no flavour.

Anyway, just looking for a recommendation because I've used this thread as a guide before, going with the aspire nautilus when I started and the kanger and all sorts in between.

Aspire Cleito Tank is worth a go bud, cheap enough, top-filling and good flavour. I'm using it with a 70W Kanger box at 0.2ohm and it's nice and tastey

I've just moved away from a Kanger tank - I found I was burning coils in about a day. I tried everything and for some reason they just weren't lasting. So I have an Aspire Triton which I'm getting on well with. I have a huge draw full of coils, tanks and mods, I'm sure I'm spending a fortune! smile

Glad you're happy with it - yes the supplied atty is a bit airy for a 75w mod (I stopped short of saying it's pants) But there are loads of great bottom feed atty's out at the mo, seriously have a look at the Hadaly http://zappecigs.co.uk/products/hadaly-rda-by-psyc... which gets great reviews and is around £75 for a genuine and on my hit list. The other atty's of the moment are the O atty http://www.vapstor.fr/en/drippers/869-o-atty-by-od... but is very pricey at 170 euro, and the NarDa which is made of unobtainium. For a cheap top air atty with BF have a look at the Sapor with BF kit from M Vapes.

I am every bit as fussy as you but my budget keeps me restrained; still love my Snapdragon v1 and recently sold my BF Snappy - I replaced it with a Velocity v2 clone as it squonks better with the higher up airflow equalling less over squonking than the Snappy, but the Snappy had it licked for flavour.

In fact I'd recommend the Tobeco Velocity V2 clone due to it being less than £20, over squonk proof (unless you go mental) great flavour, easy to build and all the airflow you'll ever need, shuts down fairly tight DTL with a standard drip tip instead of the chuff cap it comes with - I got mine here but he's out of stock http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302067063988?_trksid=p20...

You probably noticed but you can get different battery covers for your Therion http://vapegeek.co.uk/Battery-cover-for-Therion-BF...

Question for the TFV8 guys!

So many coil choices now and I can't afford all of them! Which would be the top two or three to purchase? I've got a gold tank coming with a black/gold Alien smile

V8-T10
V8-T8
V8-T6
V8-Q4
V8 RBA
V8 RBA-16
V8-X4
V8 RBA-8

Also batteries, looking at the Samsung 30Q and LG HG2 or Sony VTC6. These will be left in the mod for charging if that makes a difference? (no room in my work bag to cart around my battery charger & cable!)

What are your requirements? Wanna use all of the juice but blow sick clouds bro then the T10s are for you - if you want to build your own coils and perfect your vape then the V8 RBA is the one to go for (you could buy a pack of pre-made clapton coils to insert and re-wick to extend the life of the coils)

If you want a good vape with better flavour than cloud size then probably the Q4 or T6

V8-T10 - huge clouds, less flavour - 130W+ Battery & Juice drainer
V8-T8 - Big Clouds less flavour - 120W+ Battery & juice drainer
V8-T6 - medium/large clouds okay flavour - 100W+ - Slightly less battery and juice draining
V8-Q4 - Medium Large clouds good flavour - 90W+ - Reasonable consumption
V8 RBA - Rebuildable - dual coils - put whatever coils you like in
V8 RBA-16 - Rebuildable - dual coils - comes with an installed clapton - good flavour and clouds but high juice consumption
V8-X4 - Medium Large clouds good flavour - 90W+ - Reasonable consumption - super-seeded by the Q4 I believe
V8 RBA-8 - Rebuilable suitable for single coils

V8-Q4 is probably the sweet spot and that's my own personal choice. Nice amount of vapour and I've found it produces better flavours than the crazy coils.

I can't really help as I lung inhale but have you closed the airflow on the kanger? My mrs uses one and the mouth to lungs finds it OK.

If yes, then sounds like you need/want a really tight draw.

Can't help personally but https://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comm...
exactly that the smallest hole on the kanger is x2 the holes on the aspire in large hole setting

thx for the link sir

and its constantly weeping juice

Thanks for the detailed reply smile

Just checked the packaging and it comes with the V8-T8, V8-Q4 and V8 RBA. Wouldn't mind giving the T8-V10 coils a go to see what all the fuss is about, the V8-RBA16 sounds good as I like my claptons and have some mad prebuilt coils here ready to fit (is this a different design/style deck to the V8-RBA to build some fancy coils that need large post holes?) Just need to decide on the t6/q4/x4 now! Comes with the q4 so it'll be one of the other two smile

Thanks. How are these coils with full VG juice? I'm mixing my own now so not really a problem making thinner stuff but tend to prefer full VG back home me keep it to 50/50 here in work

I've used them with everything from 50:50 to 85:15 and they're fine. My preference is for the higher VG stuff.

I think you'll have to see if you can use the RBA head it comes with when it arrives for your prebuilt coils - they may fit or they may be too large, in which case you'll need the other RBA head

Just ordered my third batch of liquid from these guys http://cotswoldvapour.com/

Use code POTV20 for 20% and if you buy the quad pack it ends up £26.24 for 120mL!

Custard doughnut is my favourite at the moment.

Also, see the POTV discount page for lots of voucher codes https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/discount-codes

What's the VG/PG ratio on those? I can't find it on their website.

Does anyone make their own liquid in here?

I've become fed up at the cost of liquids. I've just ordered enough PG & VG to make myself a litre. Including all other bits and bobs, it came to a shade over £50. Seems like a no brainer.
