Short press - turns on/off Sky Q box
Press and hold - Turns on/off TV

it isn't a double press to turn the tv on/off
This.

My wife still can't manage it after 18 months with Q... I hear her shouting 'TV's not working again' from the bedroom at least once a week.
Reminds me of the Bob Marley song, 'No woman no Sky'.

Yes!

The automatic default approach of "how can we stop this?"

instead of "is there any real reason to want to stop this?"

Yet nobody ever has any issue with their own house, even if it's the same sort of house in the same place. Off with their heads.
Two words: spud cannons.

Preferably ones which fire bowling balls.

Your post annoyed me beyond reason, purely because it reminded me of the fact that dishwashers incorrectly filled annoy me beyond reason.

Oh, and the clean cutlery put randomly in the cutlery drawer, rather than in individual compartments.
With the OH, the cutlery drawer took 2 years of training to get right, with only the occasional slip now and then.
I have given up trying the instruction method with the dishwasher and now just rearrange it very noisily if I get up first and she's still sleeping.

Have we had:-
People who pronounce cutlery Cuttle-ree?

Understandable though. People buy a house based on the surrounding area, shops, density of population etc. in fact many factors. It is understandable that they would object to any changes.
Nah - people are just s.

We applied for planning permission to extend our house (essentially a dorma conversion). Two people objected:

Our next door neighbours who were still in the process of massively extending theirs - and the people opposite who after we gained planning permission, went on to extend their own....twice!

Planning were quite funny though - they dismissed the objections out of hand and essentially called the people who made them hypocrites hehe

How much of a fking brass neck do you need to publicise this on your Facebook page?

And I'll bet the box of goods is on expenses.

Are you sure that when she says 'TV' it's not short for 'This Vibrator' ?

Watching an interview on our local 6pm news the other evening. It was with a young girl / teenager, who survived the Manchester bombing.

She was discussing her experiences and how it had affected her - Every other word was 'Like'. 'Its was like, I felt like, like it was'....etc. Every scentence that came out of her mouth had the word like in it.

It was, Like, awful.

You don't have teenagers do you? They all speak like that, particularly girls.
