Is Kate Bush really as reclusive as people say she is?
No, people just get confused as she calls herself Kathy when she comes home.

Yes, they are.

They are exactly the same size as the CO2 canisters that you use in air pistols and also in soda siphons, which makes disposing of the empty CO2 canisters a little embarrassing these days. smile

What are those small metal canisters that you see littering the streets now (about 3 inches long, look like a mini pressurised container)?

There was a load of them in the supermarket car park the other day. What are they for?

Fair enough, I haven't a clue, I thought it might be something to do with those vape things, I never would have guessed at Laughing gas! If they want to laugh so much, my don't they get 1970s/80 Billy Connelly on Youtube like everyone else?

As assume this is some kind of "legal" high? there were dozens of canisters in the car park, so they all sit there sucking on a canister? haven't they heard of beer? beer

I witnessed it on the tube a few years ago. It was during the Notting Hill Carnival and they were all sucking on what looked like kazoos with balloons attached to them. They looked ridiculous.

I was a little concerned about one lad who was just breathing it in and out, so not getting any oxygen and getting a build up of carbon dioxide, but i figured that he'd just black out and would resume breathing again when that happened. I didn't want to get into a situation by doing anything until then. But then my stop came and I was happy to get out, as I was feeling very uncomfortable around them.

It's actually an illegal high. The 2016 Psychoactive Substances Act made it illegal for it to be sold for 'recreational' use.

Do people still sniff glue out of bags? Or is that just an 80s/90s thing?

One of many very quotable lines from 'Airplane', (1980).
I saw it originally as a double bill with "Life of Brian"....my insides hurt so much after.

Which reminds me, whatever happened to Double Bills at the cinema ?
Forty years ago! Makes it a pretty well worn joke.

The best double bill I ever saw was Don't Look Now coupled with The Wicker Man.

Cameo cinema in Edinburgh used to do late night double bills. I remember Manhunter coupled with Thief. I think there were about twelve people in the cinema. Another was Star Wars and Return of the Jedi. The sun was just about up by the time we left.

Well, they were double bills, but I would have preferred Empire + ROTJ. Showing all three would have meant rolling out of the cinema at about 7 in the morning!

I saw SW and Empire as a double bill on the run up to the release of Jedi. Back in the days before video rental it was a great way to see the films again.

The most disappointing DB was The Boys in Blue (a Cannon and Ball vehicle IIRC) and Silver Dream Racer. I think my parents wanted me out of the house...

As you were

Why are Americans so aggressive ?

I post a lot of stuff worldwide, and occasionally it gets damaged in transit. Most customers simply inform me of the breakage and ask me to send a replacement, and are happy to provide photos so I can submit an insurance claim.

However some customers go straight on the offensive, with threats of negative feedback, cancelling the order, etc. if I don't send them replacements IMMEDIATELY ! This type of customer is invariably American frown

Maybe it's because USPS seem to be world leaders in damaging packages and I just get more incidences of breakage from US customers... frown

Is it just Americans, or all Americans?

What about some of the posters on here. Someone makes a comment, some posters seem to feel that they must reply in a rude or aggressive manner.

No. I don't know why.

Why everybody can't be nice, like me, I don't know.
