It really does feel like it has been constant rain for a long time now. I know it's only January but damn bring on the spring. Please.
Global indicators are pointing towards a potential cold period in Feb...

It's just hit us and it still seems lively enough!

Just deuce through it. Very weak squall. Seems more perky north of Reading

In MK, it suddenly pissed it down, hard, bit blustery, lasted about 1 minute then gone.

Drove up the A34 at about 7:20, and Jesus there was a lot of rain. Not the worst I've driven in but it was more than the wipers could cope with comfortably. There was those 'waves' of rain that seem to be most common near the cost blowing through. More localised flooding too, but we already knew that since it's been biblically wet. Enough that someone will start building an ark soon.

I'm in Loughton. Rained so hard we lost the Sky signal. I was distraught, had no idea how to amuse ourselves until the telly came back on! smile

Same. Interrupted my recording of Mastermind. Thankfully it was during the specialist subject round.

Whilst MrsC doesn't exactly love the fact that I commute daily by motorbike, she understands my feelings on the matter and grudgingly accepts. I am however having a stern finger wagged at me re riding in tomorrow. (Kent/London).

Was chaos in our village last night. Lid on the village green grit box blew wide open. God save us.

Oh, the horror.

I am pleased to report my heating is now working again, so expect a heatwave.

Great news.

In other news, I am resolutely keeping the mud tyres on both mountain bikes, which is as sure a harbinger of a hosepipe ban as fitting summer tyres is of a monsoon.

Hideously ambiguous. Is your village grit box green, or do you grit the village green, and have a box for that purpose?

I won't be able to sleep until I know the answer.
