Things that annoy you beyond reason...? [Vol 3]

Waiting for things to be posted on eBay, Seems to take forever
I can post stuff from my local post office and people get it the next day or after, don't understand why postage estimates say over a week later? I could understand if its international post but stuff in the UK should not take that long

Oh yes, the tit driving the silver porsche yesterday on outwood lane Kingswood, could not be bothered to wait anymore behind the tractor so pulled out from behind it and overtook it as I came around the corner (towards him) causing me to take evasive action! I had to mount the pavement in my van to avoid him! Tosser

I actually know the answer to this one!! If you mean the "expect delivery by" bit, it's put there by Ebay & the seller can't change it. There were loads of complaints to Ebay from sellers because they used to have this stupid thing that said something like "buy it today, get it on Monday" - which was great when Monday is Christmas Day or Bank Holiday. At least know it says "between the 16th - 20th" or whatever. The current way came in around the same time Ebay started charging fees on the postage & if I put my tinfoil hat on I'm guessing it's to encourage people to pay extra for 1st Class or Special Delivery thus generating more fees. It does also stop people emailing the day after buying something asking "wears mi stuf".
Also, heading into December, 2nd Class post can take ages.

Pistonheads Classifieds search engine
God it was so much better in the old days, Today Im looking for some 4 inch slimline spot lamps for a project. (that's 100mm for you young'ns).
I just want to find lights.....What do I get, Door handle 'light' scratches I'm not looking for a particular make of car part, I want to see all available items.
Search engine is friggin useless

Has anyone followed up on this and contacted the company ? OK, most of the time it can be one man band operations but I've always had a temptation if I get blatantly carved up by some van to email them and create some false reason for going round an address to give a quote etc. Then if they email back (all done through a false email address obviously) asking why they've been sent round to someone's house for no reason, you then point out why you did it.
Then I just think life's to short and forget about it
Yup, I saw a bloke with a liveried van on his phone - got his reg number and company name. Sent an email with the details of when and when etc and guess what.....no reply. Then I just think life's to short and forget about it
Might be a Bristol habit...
People who have absolutely no idea where the front of their car is in relation to traffic light stop lines.
Motoring along, far ahead you see the traffic light turn to red; the cars ahead come to an abrupt halt.
Just as I join the back of the queue the person at the front of the queue then realises that they've stopped 20foot short of the stop line and sloooooooooowllly crawls forward only to stop again at the stop line....the rest of the queue then follows suit.
So just at the point I join the back of the queue, I come to a stop, handbrake on, in to neutral, the car in front of me moves forward by three car lengths!

If it is a Bristol thing, it bugs me too! People who have absolutely no idea where the front of their car is in relation to traffic light stop lines.

It also bugs me when people who are turning right on a wide road (a car can get past if car turning moves over to the white line) they just stop in the middle. It bugs the hell out of me!

Sorry, don't get this. You're annoyed by company email addresses on the side of a van?
No, he's annoyed by free email addresses from the likes of hotmail, aol, etc. because they look unprofessional. Especially so if the company owns a domain name and doesn't make use of it for their email address too. Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
