Didn't the guy that owned the alligator farm actually do the stunt and end up getting bitten quite badly?

A quick google will find footage of all the practice attempts and the guy ended up with 193 stitches in his legs and face.

Just did a bit of research, and it didn’t take long to find the answer. Apparently, this is a basic mod you can expect to find on stunt bikes – an additional rear brake lever mounted to the left h/bar.

They have these rear brake levers on the IOM TT bikes too so the riders can keep their feet firmly planted

Really?
Must be a new thing as I have never seen that, and I used to live there right next to the pit lane.

Some teams may use them but I am not aware of any seniors that do it.
Happy to be educated.

(Personally you won't get any "feel" using a finger rear lever)

It's simply what you're used to. In reality, your fingers are way more sensitive than your foot, and can modulate pressure way more effectively.

As an example, try driving a car with a bike engine that has a clutch designed for finger operation. Most folks stall constantly because they can't modulate it as well with their foot.

And in very random news - if you go to pedal bikes they do make a brake system with two levers - Index finger pulls the short lever, middle finger pulls the long lever, means that anyone with only one hand / working fingers can work both front and back brakes with their remaining hand.
