That's cheap. But then that's pre the rules changes I think? CO2 and all that? I quoted £280 as that's what it costs to tax the Wife's Golf for a year. Yes, a Mk4 Golf. Ok, it is a 180bhp GTi. But still.
Same as mine though it started out at 150 now 231, but still £133 to insure.

Easy, Lionel! That read to me like friendly banter...
It was, some folks are really way to touchy and need to lighten up a bit or at least understand the humour in here frown

I thought the Hot air/air balloon bit was a bit of a give away
My apologies for misinterpreting you, but given the amount of flak I normally get just for existing - ref. the unprovoked tuition fee rant the other noight, or Gorrilla-Brain's reply a few posts ago - then you'll perhaps see why I regard everything as negative until proven otherwise

CC,I'm off to bed so please don't reply, but to be soo defensive and then insult a member of TT in such a crass manner, wtf? Please either don't post or pause, reflect and then do, just don't be so "prickly" .

And that was exactly the joke, was making light of that and turning it around to humour, in my experience on here once you start ribbing the grumblers by throwing it back at them with humour it changes the attitude.

Fantastic day today. Run went well, had lunch with the girlfriend and her parents, then an M&S dine in for £10 for tea.

Weather was great, sunshine all day. Just enjoyed burning half a tank of fuel and ringing out each gear. Perfect
