This sort of thing happens a lot...

Swift is a banking system - I worked on it about 15 years ago at one of the big investment banks....possibly thats what they are talking about rather than the language

It's a global messaging system used by banks, based in Belgium. wink

I did see a job for a generic administrator post afew months back. They wanted someone educated to a masters degree standard and only offered minimum wage. the hours weren't even enough to claim income support. it was astounded.

Maybe it was a typo, and they wanted a geriatric administrator, i.e. a pensioner who just wanted to top up his pension money.

One that made me snigger recently was a line uttered by a woman in a TV show, contemptuous of the girl her son had had an altercation with.
She said, "That one is like margarine, she spreads easily."

That's as old as margarine itself.

I was at school with a girl whose nickname was Flora for much the same reason.

On a similar note, the people over the road from us are having a loft extension added.

The chippy's were sawing joists & the sound was a really unusual high-pitch whine as the saw cut into the wood, lots of short cuts.

We were in the garden & my mrs pipes up with "wtf is that?"

Don't worry I told her, Chewbacca will never talk.

Yep, had to be there.
