A bit council (Vol 4)
Discussion
More council that a week inclusive in Ibiza and carrying your Primark swimsuit down to the pool in a fake YSL bag:
I present the lesser known series 3 BMW pickup, c-pillars? Pah, who needs those:

I want to put the lid on this Salon Privé council nonsense.
There is one day where you pay £20 or something and can walk around and gawp at the cars. If that’s council then fine.
I went on ladies day. There’s a dress code, it’s £300 to get in, you get luncheon, afternoon tea and unlimited champagne.
Is it a brothel? Well, there are a lot of George Clooney wannabes looking for totty fair enough.
But it’s NOT COUNCIL!

From the ladies day section of their website: "as well as a beautiful selection of Boodles jewellery, to try on and luxury brands to browse and purchase."
Anything that makes a feature out of "luxury brands" is as council as it's possible to be. Brands are council, luxury brands are uber council.

Must admit I do like a council holiday abroad. Not ashamed.
At last, someone else with a taste for an adventure. markymarkthree said:
I was 61 when we went on this holiday and there were plenty there older than me.
Am i ready to go away on holiday and look at old buildings, churches or museums? not yet. I would sooner be on the inflatable assault course out at sea.
I still ride a 900cc bike and am considering a 1600cc bike this year and being encouraged by bike mad son no 1 to get on and do it.
Skiing is a bit of a no any more, as my knees are shot from too much football but i still go just for the crack, although i do more walking than skiing.
As for surfing, i will still be "1st to the surf" for many years to come. I have just started this paddle boarding lark as we have a marine lake opposite my house, so a different form of exercise and another skill to master. Also another thing to do along with the surfing when on holiday.
All in all i will not be letting my age stop me doing stuff that i still want to carry on doing.
I guess my drive could be deemed a bit council when i drag these gems home to play with.
Nothing council about a Sierra Ghia when your neighbours can be sure you were sales rep of the year! Seriously though, I only wish I had a Cortina and a Capri on the drive myself. Splendid stuff. If that Sierra is Mercury Grey the colour really scrubs up well. Done right it can look absolutely tremendous.Am i ready to go away on holiday and look at old buildings, churches or museums? not yet. If you're counting as council for enjoying classic Fords, I too must be council.

Not council imo.Poor council would be a Zafira
Fancy council would be a white RR Evoque
Does the Sierra have the little hand pumps for the seat bolster? I loved that, as well as the joystick for the fader. So 80's I love it.

I think the hand pumps were only on later cars which would have had a separate amplifier with fader knobs instead of the joystick so not a likely combination. I hope I am wrong as the joystick was much more fun.The-Wanderer said:

Frank posted a very racist 'joke' and was binned.
Personally no loss at all. I was actively avoiding threads he was active in due to the drivel he was spouting.
This. I skipped past his posts as they irritated me with their pseudo intellectual content.Personally no loss at all. I was actively avoiding threads he was active in due to the drivel he was spouting.
Barely a day goes past for me (in the normal days when at work properly) when the councils say to me. .......
"I'm not racist but"........................
