We're off to have a proper look at some alpacas this morning. Apparently.

Okay, I'll bite, is this for some kind of strange fetish or has Mrs B decided she wants one as a pet???

Remarkably it's dry here, not seen any rain since we left home on Monday morning.

Mind, now I've said that we'll more than likely be swept away by a bloody tsunami grumpy

Good Lord no, it'd spoil the kitchen floor.

We picked up a leaflet advertising a farm place where they've got some, there's a few other assorted animals too. Grandbomma decided it's worthy of investigation.

Alpacas?

Why not just call "Dial-a- Llama"?

Bobbers, I had a look for Walkers Extra Strong but I could only find Red or Black Label.
The latter is actually rather nice... Cheers! drink

Is the Extra Strong a cask strength Special Limited Edition?

I'm not too sure about drinking whiskey with jalapeños though, they tend to play havoc with my arseophaegus. redface

I might just skip the next volume and wait for the DVD
Volume I to 27 are out on VHS or cassette tape.
I've got the first two volumes on wax cylinders, the next three on Bakelite, a load on vinyl, one on Phillips Laserdisc, a few on Betamax, some on VHS, some on floppy disc and a few on a memory stick that I've forgotten where I put.
Never did get any on those Kindle e-reader gizmos.

I wish they would just choose one format and stick with it.
It's getting a bit cramped for storage space here with all the apparatus needed to play them all. grumpy

hehe
Talking of (Johnny) Walkers I recently saw that blue label has gone through the £200 barrier, it's not a £200 whisky, I bought mine around 10 years ago for £135 and opened it on my 40th, it was good but not exceptional and certainly not £200 worth!!!

I have the same issue Bobbers, can't sit around and do nothing. There's always something that needs burning so I'll go out and burn it.

Anyhow, I'll go and have a look at this alpaca business. Not that I'm going to burn them of course, probably just take a few photos. See how it goes.

I wholeheartedly agree, Bobbers. thumbup
No whiskey is worth paying £200 a gallon for.

It's a shame Dibble isn't keen on the old "Water of Life", I think it would be just the thing to perk him up.
Actually, I couldn't stand the stuff myself until a fortnight's holiday in Bonnie Scotland in 1975 persuaded me that it wasn't so bad after all. yum

I reckon if Dibble persevered for just a few days, he might grow to appreciate it's curative and pain-numbing properties. wink

How are you feeling today, young Dibble?

Contrary to some reports, l can confirm there are plenty of fish in the North Sea. Well, three at least, a couple of pounds apiece.
Not really big enough for good eating so they've gone back to fight another day.
scratchchin I dunno, I reckon that two pounds is a decent size for a mackerel.

I love mackerel, me! lick

Gutted and cleaned, then baked in foil, with a filling of chopped onion, butter, lemon juice, black pepper and a couple of bay leaves. Nom! cloud9

Yesterday I drove from London, in a very wet evening rush hour, to Hay on Wye then home. I arrived back 01.00 this morning!

Friday I will mostly be driving from London`s West End to Oswestry then to Hay on Wye. Saturday will be Hay on Wye to Derby, bit of loafing (2 hours) then back to South London.

This will be made extra interesting by having to be back in HoW Sunday @ Midday to go to Cambridge coincidentally!

Next week my life returns to `normal` thats 09.00 until............?

June 8 I`m off to Portugal to see a mates new boat & villa cool
