that sounds like the AM dealer in Newcastle as well. The Porsche dealer is very nice too however the Audi dealer inbetween wont give anyone the time of day unless you meet their discerning and misguided expectations.
the Ferrari dealer that used to be just outside Sunderland (sadly long gone now) was one of the best dealers I have ever been to and would happily show anyone/everyone their stock and let people test drive etc...
AM Cambridge are highly regarded.the Ferrari dealer that used to be just outside Sunderland (sadly long gone now) was one of the best dealers I have ever been to and would happily show anyone/everyone their stock and let people test drive etc...
Most Am dealers are awful.
Have to say Dick Lovett always seam friendly to me. From MINI to Ferrari never had a problem when talking to them.
I’ve never had anyone look down their nose at me, the opposite, in fact and I’ve got a few nice anecdotes of my own –
One was at the OPC Porsche Glasgow. A few years ago, they had a lot of historic stuff on display, and I’d almost forgotten about it until I suddenly remembered on the last day of the display. By virtue of circumstances that day, I ended up appearing at the OPC, dressed, frankly, like the proverbial tramp. I’m not being funny either; properly dressed like stig of the dump! As it was, I was treated brilliantly. Offered various drinks and snacks, and I passed a pleasant hour or so in the place. This was also around the time when the Spyder was released, and I asked if they had one, stressing as I did, that I wasn’t in the market.
As it was, they apologised, saying that the demo hadn’t arrived yet, but they’d be happy to give me buzz when it did. They also offered to let me take a Boxster out as well.
Another was a watch dealer in Barcelona. I could take you to it, but I can’t for the life of me remember the name of it. I got talking to the folks in the shop about the Patek Nautilus moonphase they had sitting in the window.
One thing led to another, and before I knew it, I had deep into 6 figures worth of watches sitting in front of me, despite pointing out that I wasn’t in a position to buy.
Again, a really pleasant time was had, and as a parting gift, the guy gave me a beautiful hardback Patek Philippe book, free of charge, and in fact, insisted I took it.
I have many more such stories, but those two are the ones that stand out for me. Good business sense too, because if I’m ever in the market for new or approved used Porsche, OPC Glasgow will be my first port of call, ditto with a Patek – I’ll be getting a flight over to Barcelo

Great minds... I was too busy watching the video of them. I’ve seen a few teasers (pun not intended) but didn’t know exactly what they were
I couldn't get the video to work for some reason. Yeah I knew these were coming but I must say I'm really impressed with the outcomeGameface said:
