If you can't find him he may be in the Public Telephone Box at the end of Scratchface Lane dialing 160 pitifully hoping to find Dial-A-Disc.

Something has come up. I have to go to Chieveley Services to meet Elvis. Now. He picked up a party of German lads from Heathrow who have come over to buy some of his Mercedes. He has to give me the keys for an ailing C Class in Woking that needs picking up tomorrow. Tomorrow being the day I deliver the Audi to my bloke in Aldermaston, fetch the RX-7 from the spray shop in Andover and the SLK from the garage in Lambourn. A Woking trip will top that off nicely.

This is the week I chose to give up amphetamines.

I'll be back in time for Volume 30.
