I think it is , it's August and the TV constantly talks about global warming. It's surprising to me .

It's called climate change. It is basic physics. If more energy is put into a system it has to go somewhere. It does not mean it has to be hotter here all of the time. It would be daft to think that.

My Dad was a part time Meteorologist and as a sailor I've been a weather watcher for over 50 years. One of my best mates studied Physics and Meteorology. If asked he explains what's going on and likely direction of climate travel.

It's all guff made up by Governments to control people and create income opportunity. The weather changes all the time and it's utterly cr*p in UK right now . No amount of experts or weather watchers cuts it . If anyone had a clue they would be able to forecast the day correctly for next Tuesday. And they can't .

What utter nonsense. It is companies that generate our power from whatever source not the government.

Yes the weather changes all of the time except when it doesn't of course and i read into you post that you have not the remotest understanding of weather patterns and how they develop. Some of us do and as a sailor I regularly put it to very good use. You may not understand this but we plan a route to take best advantage of the weather that has not yet happened in my case up to 1700km which is circa 9, 10 days. Now i readily admit this is just weather and not the climate or change thereof.

We even use these short range forecasts to plan courses for sailing race events. They can be astonishingly accurate. Obviously the further out one looks the more variability comes in but trends can still be predicted.

Climate change is the impact of these weather pattern changes.
