All the best for Saturday Snow and Rocks!

Another glorious start to the day here in South Glos - not set to continue though. We've had a good run so I suppose some rain later is not unreasonable.

I've tried to be patient....but now that the BBC long range gets as far as June, and there's very little to be remotely excited about, I can feel my disappointment growing. BBQs have been fairly limited, not sure there has been more than 2 days in a row of properly good weather, and we're not far off entering the month of the solstice where the first depressing sign of days getting shorter happens. Early days I know, but the feeling of "is this going to be another rubbish summer" is growing.

Well, it's pissing it down for a change. U13s cricket was called off last night. England World Cup warm up almost certainly off.

Beggars belief that a game so sensitive to the rain ever managed to get off the ground in this country.

Horrendous over the m62 this morning.
Such a contrast from Sunday.

I've booked Tuesday off as Mrs UTH is on half term next week, BBC giving a couple of glimmers of hope of something vaguely pleasant at points over this weekend, but that's clutching at straws.

Still over two weeks away from my wedding day, the long term forecasts aren’t showing any strong signals at the moment.

Hopefully today and tomorrow gets the persistent rain out of the system for a while.

It's been fairly intense rain here all day (just outside Nottingham). Supposed to ease off in the evening and then proper hammer it down for the next 24 hours.

Waterproofs on for my 5 mile evening walk I think.

It was glorious in the Peak District over the weekend. Not too hot and with a bit of breeze to keep you feeling fresh.

It is a bit wet in Carlisle today.
Fingers crossed our flood defence works if called in to action.

I went to watch some corporate football this evening and even with a jacket on I wasn’t warm. Tandoori chicken pie did the job though. lick

The heavy rain storm never really appeared up here in Deeside. Drove south today for a long weekend nr Melton, and driving conditions we all ok. At Gretna through to Carlisle it looked like it got the worst rain as there was a lot of flooding.

It feels alot chillier down here in England! Can’t wait to head back north for some warmth!

Not in my part of Derbyshire it wasn't! River level at .97m, way below top of normal range (1.37m). Highest ever recorded was 3.42m in October last year.

It weren't as bad as I expected it to be but the usual flood warnings for Stapleford and Erewash came out, how much flooding there was I don't know.
