Great news Neil.

P.s. Do you want to buy some Roger Waters memorabilia biggrin
Nah still got a shed load of fake gear left, couldn't get any buyers biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Seriously though, the whole sad farce of the last 3 and a bit years cost me nearly all the gear I collected, crazy eh.

I managed to hold onto my signed Chad Smith drumsticks though.

Once again thanks to all of you for the comments, I really do appreciate it clap
Slightly o/t but how do you sign a drumstick? spin

Ah the DVLA, the natural resting place of the useless tt.

Tried to register a Japanese import Honda CRX Del Sol years ago.

Got a registration document back that said, Toyota Carina XL Diesel (type of fuel listed as petrol) The colour was right though. rolleyes
I was swapping a load of cars and plates round once.

I sent all of the documents and retention certificates off to them with a step by step list of what plate to move to where, and to confirm a list of what should end up where.

Every single car and bike came back with the completely incorrect plate on it. It was astonishing in scale.. They couldn't have done it more wrong if they'd tried.

One car even had a completely unknown plate on it and a cherished plate of the ABC123 form (so worth a few quid) had just vanished into the ether!

I was very lucky to be able to speak to a chap at the DVLA who knew his onions and he went through each bit with me and got it all sorted over the phone. Trying to sort it by post would have been a nightmare.

Thanks for that, and it’s good to know you’re working now.
It’s early days in my case but I’ve been too frigging patient so far, now’s the time to turn on the heat. Running my own business I’ve had my battles in the past so I know the importance of keeping on top of all the correspondence, noting phone calls etc. Someone’s got to know what’s going on, sure as hell DMG haven’t a clue.
Your experience was unbelievably bad, far far worse than I hope mine will ever be. But forewarned is forearmed, at least those still stuck in the madhouse now have a better idea of what we’re up against, and the ammunition that’s available.
Thanks for the offer of help, I’ll see how I get on first! Pull the pin and throw the bloody thing.....

Best of luck.
The DMG failings are beyond belief and it appears little has changed post PHSO report, it's a disgrace especially when playing with people's livelihoods.

I now have to start my compensation claim, should be interesting...

I got there in the end, and take it as a massive victory, it has certainly been a learning curve in so many ways.

Offer stands, if you think I can help at any stage, just drop me a PM, good luck.

Aha! I got the lucky phone call a week before Christmas, I’m driving again. But not before Letter to the Topman, Letter to DMG, Formal Complaint to DMG, all crisply worded. I think by their reaction that they lost my casefile and had to start all over again.
How’s your claim for damages?
