Went to one on Kauai
Had our honeymoon there, lovely island.First time I went they were filming Tropic Thunder so we flew over the set in a little-bird gunship. Great fun.
To the OP's question, surely its just a matter of chino shorts and a short sleeved shirt. And a sun hat of some sort, there's always a lot of standing around at weddings.

Light coloured suit in a light material like linen, cotton or seersucker with a light coloured shirt and then slip on proper shoes.
I would go for a natural colour linen suit with a light blue shirt and some brown slip on shoes
I got married abroad and had almost exactly this - natural linen suit, brown shoes.I would go for a natural colour linen suit with a light blue shirt and some brown slip on shoes
However - I caution against a light blue shirt. If it's hot and you're prone to sweating, your sweat patches will be highly visible.
I went with plain white.
But to answer the thread, surely this is the most appropriate

Victorian wool bathing suit and top hat.
This. Absolutely would be the stuff of legends. If your single you wouldn't be by the end of the night. Serious answer though, as said linen shorts and a nice shirt sleeved shirt. This is an area our cousins over the water do get right so much more than us. We seem to struggle as a nation with the middle ground between council estate chic and state wedding at Westminster abbey.

Hey! We're getting married and you're invited!
Tamsin and I have always loved the idea of getting betrothed on a beach below the slopes of the active volcano Mount Burachinocwa, on the almost inaccessible Polynesian island of Waratunga.
And, now we've made it happen.
So, cancel all other holiday plans you may have this summer, take your kids out of school in term time, waste your vacation leave on our vainglorious adventure, spend a fortune going to some god-forsaken place that's of no interest to you and watch as we marry on our secret beach, just yards from dozens of other, equally deluded couples, who's nuptials stretch away down the coast as far as the eye can see.
Dont forget to spend money on clothes that you're never going to wear ever again and most importantly bring your present with you
Love Tamsin & Harry.
Mwa!

It was Jamaica
We only invited people we knew could come at that time of year.
Take the time off
and
Just to sweeten the deal we paid for their flights and all inclusive hotel for 10 nights and a travellodge at the airport the night before as the checkin was at 6am.
There was my wife me and 4 family members there. 2 either side of the family.
