Can't have nice watches, hats, gloves or sunglasses.

I've never lost a watch, but I've lost two pairs of RayBans and sat on and crushed my Serengeti drivers, twice.
My first pair of RayBans fell off my face into the Mediterranean, never to be seen again. The second pair fell out of my top pocket while I was looking for parts in a scrap yard. I went back and searched every car I'd been in, but I couldn't find them.

Judging from the tone of your question I take it you've never lost a watch.
Like most people?Going back to pens. I write with whatever I can lay my hands on while out and about. I tend to have a pen at my first clients site which I'll leave there. I pinch one of the second client which I leave with the third and so goes the day.

You'll be telling me people can keep good pens for years next. Have had the odd nice stainless steel Parker or Papermate for Xmas. Don't think I've managed to still have them by the beginning of March. Every hire car, courtesy car, pool car or works van I've ever driven has claimed a CD and pair of sunglasses at least. Am sure I've left stuff in a good few Travel Lodges, Premier Inns, Holiday Inns and various guest houses on my travels too.

Strangely, the world 'imbecile' springs to mind here.Going back to pens. I write with whatever I can lay my hands on while out and about. I tend to have a pen at my first clients site which I'll leave there. I pinch one of the second client which I leave with the third and so goes the day.
