Point of order, that's not a rope, it's a hawser.

Back on subject. My neighbour and his mates, all walk with the aid of a stick. Therefore already tooled up and by the way these guys moan about stuff, ready for a fight. Might get the better of one, two doubtful, three, game over.

A lot of the pensioners round here are ex farm workers tough as old nails and have access to firearms too, I reckon I'd have one high velocity round in the head and two in the chest long before I could get close enough to start with the fisticuffs.

Idle thoughts... Would it be possible to build some sort of hearing aid jamming device to bump them off like the British agent that gets murdered at the UN during the opening scenes of Live and Let Die? Or maybe something to slow down their pacemakers so they can only move at 50% of normal speed?

Just at the moment, after spending a few hours raking dead grass off what I laughingly call a lawn, one half fit pensioner would lay me out in a single stroke.

And I'm only 73!

Just one , aged 92, if it was Barbara Buttrick.....

The oldest living boxer in the world. She is known for her speed, power, and conditioning. She has won over thirty-five fights in her career, including titles as champion at both the national level in the United States and the international level in Australia.

Buttrick was the first woman to win an American Boxing League title, and she is now one of the most successful trainers in boxing. Buttrick’s work with women has helped thousands of them develop confidence in themselves, and she has even helped some of them become professional fighters.

She formed and was elected president of the Women’s International Boxing Federation (WIBF), a significant organization that governs women’s boxing, in the middle of the 1990

I've not read through the thread but OP please take note.

The real "Hippies are coming up to retirement age - don't think that's a particular problem.

But so are the Greasers, the Rockers, the Mods, the Punks, the Skinheads and the Suedeheads.

The nursing homes are about to get very interesting.

I don't think the snowflake carers generation have any idea about what's about to land on their plate.

This is why I don't worry about the dwindling size of our armed forces. In a time of war, mobilising Karens + scaffolders would make us unbeatable.
A golden rule- never get into a road rage incident with a scaffolding lorry biggrin Absolute psychopaths.

You do not specify the sex of said 75 year old but my 91 year old MIL who has dementia and weighs 59kg broke one of her carers wrists a few weeks ago with her bare hands. So from what you have told us I agree with a previous poster at 0.5.

Ah, but I'll bet the carer wasn't trying to hurt her...

Well I'm retired if not officially a state pensioner.

But I reckon I could disarm you with my wit easily.

Or we'd probably end up going for a beer.
