Those walkways on Mount Hua are seriously narrow though ,and have not always had safety lines!The Monks who first used them would mostly travel at night - the thought was they could not then see the danger they were in!

the people are at a height of 1385 feet and were repairing an fm antennae on the empire state building.
below them you can just make out the observation deck with people on it thinking they were high!
As you cannot stand that close to the edge at all and the barriers are very hefty ,the feeling is not too bad - you dont get too much of a sense of how high you actually are!
