Thanks BobbersYes, we’ve been thoroughly exploring New Mexico. Tomorrow, off on 66 as much as possible into Arizona (Seligman) and up to the Grand Canyon. Then down to Phoenix and home.
Been banging out the Eagles etc on the car stereo!

We have had a necksellent family day out at Manchester Airport Aviation Viewing Park.
Robbopoppet, Robbopoppetlet, Big George, Daughter #2, Son-in-law #1, Mrs Robbo (aka Grandma) and yours truly (aka Robbopops).
We took a big pickerknick and watched the big Emirates A380 with an upstairs and downstairs "WOW! Really, Robbopops?" and "It's BIGNORMOUS!!!" arrive and later depart.
We watched the kiddiewinks having fun on the bouncy castle slides. STRICTLY NO JUMPING FROM THE TOP OF THE SLIDES. Yeah, right!
Then they flew on the Cartoon Airplane roundabout, with joysticks to make them go higher or lower as they went round. Then the Pixar Cars ( George drove the fire engine because his other Grandad was a fireman ).
Then we went inside the Avro RJX which Robbopops helped to build: amazingly all my rivets were still in place :smugmode: Very boring.
Next we went on board Concorde where the nice man told us all about how it could go 1,350 mph high up in the sky at 60,000 feet, or nearly 11½ miles up there.
But they didn't serve us champagne and caviar because apparently the six quid didn't cover it.
But the display screen showed that we were travelling at Mach 2, and I couldn't feel a thing. Then I realised I was sitting on my comb in my back pocket.
The weather was brilliant all day, I've proper caught the sun on my cheeks ( Ooh-err Missus! )
We parted company with half of our contingent and took Robbopoppet back home to her Mummy and Daddy and stayed for a cuppa.
Back home, and EB & FrankieDoggie were relaxing in the back garden, waiting to greet us. Which was nice
I cooked us dinner, fish for Mrs Robbo and lemon garlic tarragon chicken breast fillets for EB et moi, served with Robbopops Special Salad and baked potatoes. Noice. Frankie chose sausages and some roast chicken bits.
Then as the skies started to darken, much later than expected, our guests set off to get back home before the storm arrived. A wise decision.
Rumblings of thunder in the distance grew closer, then the trenchul wayne awwived, rattling on the roof of the carport and the conservatory and sending the squiwwels scampering for cover.
Now I'm watching "The Perfect Storm" in which George Clooney is too busy to make a cup of coffee.
Isn't nature wonderful?

A wholesome sounding day there, gr.
I’ve had a very nice weekend of outdoors stuff, playing with kids, and seeing the SiL, her other half, and their new(ish) doggo.
Lovely.
Thank goodness I have work tomorrow and the builders back in for week 2 of 4, otherwise this run of contentment could be coming to an end.
Nighty-night, TT! (Morning paua.)

Good morrow fellow Trivialities everywhere
An ok night's sleep, awake a few times but straight back to sleep each time.
Monday morning has arrived again, thanks hammo19, and I suppose I'll have to go to work seeing as we haven't won the lottery.
BTCC was entertaining yesterday, lot's of jostling for position.

Slightly cloudy and overcast today, with a few spots of rain earlier.
Todays plans, speak to the hospital to ask about issues with the wound, the superglue they used and get a sick chit for the reast of the week. Then contact the surgeons secretary to pay the balance I owe. Progress is slow from pain to now just discomfort
Then it's research for letter writing/emails, needs some further figures from the Senedd to back my arguments
Not sure what else...
