We had a late lunch. The Memsahib opted for Rosbif and hossraddidge sandwich, while your correspondent made a FFS, with lotsa tartare sauce and Tellicherry pepper.

A spot of trivia that I learned this morning is that fishfingers were invented in...
Sarfumpton.
Somebody might like to check that Bobbers is still breathing.

Although that fact rates a daring 8.99756 on the new improved Triv-O-Meter, I’m not sure Bobbers will be that taken aback, but I could be wrong. It has been known.

It’s Battert and his rellies that I’m worried about, not Bobbers and co.

Also, it used to be even swervier in these parts as Route 66 went up to Santa Fe before dropping down to Albuquerque and then points westwards, so much so that in Albuquerque it actually crosses itself, depending on which manifestation of Route 66 you are driving on.

Anyway, I hope y’all are having a good day.
Yes, I am thanks, psi. thumbup

I've been shopping in Aldi. cool

Unfortunately thats not true. Birdseye created the fish finger - or cod stick- in their factory in Great Yarmouth in 1955. It was product tested on the population of Sarfhampton, along with Herring Sticks.

The fish finger was developed in a Birds Eye factory in Great Yarmouth by Mr H A J Scott in 1955 according to the Birds Eye official history

Not so fast... You're forgetting we took him aback to the Theatrical Costumers when we couldn't extricate him from The Joker costume. Lost our deposit and all sorts. Harsh words were spoken.

Are you sure? There's a lot saying Great Yarmouth

In 1986 Birds Eye abandoned all its Yarmouth presence, switching its production to its factory over in Lowestoft according to the company history

Plain Noddles for me, please.

Coriander. Why? Why? For pity's sake, why?

Save on the cost of coriander, just stir in some Lifebuoy soap.
