Get her a Stanley Steamer, an upmarket vehicle that befits her perceived status.

Or a Morphy Richards

Don’t you mean the above hotel grade Corby trouser press? Decent enough choice, but it corners like a 50s American tourer ie it can’t.

Good Morning Trivton!
Belated birthday wishes to Robbopoppetlet, I do hope she has a fun day.
Your correspondent is currently lying on a trolley in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital being tenderly cared for by the delectable Julie. Julie has a scheme afoot to harpoon your correspondent to select a juicy portion of portside kidney for scientific purposes. Doesn't sound like an awful lot of fun to me but hey-ho.
Hope and trust all present are fit and content.
Moustache, here comes Julie.
I may be busy for a while.
Oh my, that doesn't sound good 404, hope everything is ok?

Not the usual definition of trolleyed in Glasgow.

As it's Goven, perhaps 404 could stop wasting NHS resources and just stand outside in a Celtic shirt for 10 mins to ensure someone stabs him with something sharp? biggrin

Which reminds me of a colleague went to the doctors about his piles..
Colleague: "Doctor - my bottom hurts around the entrance"
Doctor: "Well whilst you're calling it an entrance, I'm not surprised"

"Only at the entrance? What happens if you step into the office or the garden?"

If that's the QE in Selly Oak and Julie trained in Group 284, with my wife in the 80s, you'll be in good hands.
If Julie is the same Julie. She'd be 57 now. I wonder if she's sober.

Selly Oak. My sister used to live there.

She was so confident in the safety of her little close that she used to leave her front door unlocked at night, despite our best endeavours to dissuade her.

She was confident until somebody nipped in overnight, took her car keys and thusly her car. I believe the insurers paid out, despite what could easily have been argued as gross negligence.

A day of things today.

Someone was trying car doors in our road at 2am, police called but the scroates had gone.

Meeting today has revealed that the machine shop will be shrinking by around 80% within the next 18 months, which directly affects my role, I've been assured that if I don't stay with the machine shop I will transition into an assembly support role.

Hammo19 played golf, poorly.

And I walked down to meet Mrs Bobbers.

Well, Bobbers, that could have been much worse. Sounds a reasonably positive outcome for a restructuring, at least from your perspective?

Best I could hope for given the circumstances psi310398, we are going through massive changes what with an impending site move and the business moving away from manufacturing, they only want to keep the lucrative repairs, spares, and military stuff on site for manufacture, everything else will be assembly/test.

Glad to hear it sounds like you’re safe, Bobbers, even if your role could change.

I'm as safe as anyone else really, the thing with any manufacturing site move is that the ME department are key to establishing all the new processes and procedures for the new site, at the very least i expect to be busy for around 4-5 years.

So is it a case of hanging on in there, Bobbers and toughing it out, or moving to the new site?

Where is the new site?

Oh I'll be moving to the new site, it's just a question of in what role, I think I'll still be an ME, it's just which area I'll be supporting.
I'm fortunate in that I have experience with machining, fabrication and assembly, I'm also able to use AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS, plus I have experience in LEAN manufacturing.

Come on people, is anyone actually going to the ITTGBWG????
