Hello chaps!

Long time no post in here. Everyone OK?

Yesterday I serviced my water system. Saved over £400.

Today I'm going to Asda (the big one in Taunton) to change some jeans that I bought.

Yes, yes, jeans from Asda. But they're cheap, do a job and when was the last time you could tell the difference between £17 jeans and a pair north of £100? Not that I'd pay over £100 for jeans anyway.

Toodle Pip!
Never mind jeans, how's the new dog settling in?

I slept. I mean actually slept. I didn’t realise I needed it, but I must have. Mrs SM kindly allowed me my slumber and I finally awakened just after 10:30. On average I’m up around 06:30.

Not sure what to do with a comparatively short day now, particularly not one troubled by the threat of scattered thunderstorms. Perraps a wee soujourn to Tintern? I feel frustrated by days where I don’t feel I’ve achieved something, but maybe I need to simply achieve a rest day today.
Don't dismiss a rest day Still Mulling, it will quite often do you a lot of good!!

hehe Very good!

Nearly dinner time. Need to find a shop that sells nori to make a salmon salad, but highly unlikely at this time on a Sunday!

Have felt thoroughly discombobulated all day. Hopefully’ll bounce back tomorrow!

Looking forward to the GP highlights in 90 minutes. smile

2 hours around Scolton Manor with the grandkids, wore them out, then watched F1 at the club with a few pints, having put beef short ribs and jacket spuds in the over for tea...

Ended up watching Leeds lose the playoffs, watched the F1 on the other TV and took my laptop as well, just in case, then a nice tea and grankids are currently int he batch as I watch C4 F1 highlights.

Not a bad day biggrin

Halve the ingredient measures in the sauce to cook the salmon in.

Just finished watching a 7 minute long video of someone tearing around Trivton on Thames in a Ferrari 250 GTO.

At a track day in the 80s, my brother had his Cooper S and I had my hotted up MG Metro. Other participants were Nick Mason in his 250GTO and Roger St John Hart in 2 VEV.

I bet that doesn't happen now.

Despite being as old as it is, a 250 GTO is no slouch and the driver seemed to know where he was going too, maybe it was a Trivialite scratchchin
Anyone seen the loony recently?

The only time i've been on track was on bikes or in a single seater. The only cars i would have tracked, the ur-quattro was too much of a handfull and would have probably ended up costing me a lot of money. The 308 GTi would have been hilarious but everyone seemed to want to prove how fast their car was compared to it, i lost interest soon afterwards.

Ah, the beautiful Ferrari 250 GTO is one of my all-time favourites.
I did a splendid artistic rendition in red & black biro inside the back cover of my English exercise book. I didn't have a yellow biro. Nor a white one. frown
I wish I'd kept that masterpiece, it would probably be worth a fortune after I've popped my clogs.

I also remember one time at the 24 Heures du Mans, Nick Mason had flown in to La Sarthe in a private aircraft from a big Pink Floyd gig somewhere or other in order to partake of his allotted 4 hour night-time stint behind the wheel of his team's race car.driving

What a guy! clapbow
