PH Parents of 2016
Discussion
Let's hope it's 2015 for apple juice rather than 2 weeks later. That would be cruel on Mrs Cyder.
The smaller of the green fairies is due to make an appearance sometime towards the end of February. It's currently a mine field of knowing what on earth you need in a pram, getting glared at by sales assistants for getting the giggles over stupid mushy sayings on baby grows and being boggled as to why someone would want what is essentially a coffee maker for baby milk.
It's a jungle out there.
ETA and avoiding mumsnet as they are all terrifying.

Apple juice has a latest delivery date of 24th of December before she'll be induced so I think it's very unlikely we'll be in the 2016 club. Getting worryingly close now.
That is getting close. What ever happened to late nights with no responsibility and getting horribly drunk?15 weeks to go here and beginning to think I'm not wanting to do this childbirth thing. Pram turned up yesterday and currently the carrycot bit is sitting on the dining table. I keep looking at it thinking 'oh st this is really happening'

Number two will be joining us on or around the 27th of Feb.
Very excited and nervous in equal measure. Just remembering those first sleep deprived few months!!!
The wife has selected for a home birth this time too which should be interesting.
Congratulations! We have number two daughter arriving mid-March - number one daughter is 3.5 now. Very excited and nervous in equal measure. Just remembering those first sleep deprived few months!!!

I think its going to be a bit of a shock to the system tbh, the last 12 months have been relatively easy as our daughter has grown from a toddler into a little girl. I've visited friends with young babies recently and even now it all seems so long ago - what do you mean they can't talk or walk?!
My wife is due to give birth to our first on the 30th of June next year, so looks like I'll be in this club. We had the 12 week scan a week ago and it looks like all is well (touch wood).
Slightly nervous, but really looking forward to it. We are both in our mid-30s so feel like we are ready for it.

I'm sure all you PH men types are very good with your pregnant partners, but do remember when they lose their temper for the nth time that it isn't you. It is a combination of a walking hormone factory and every single fking member of society giving their 'advice' whether it is wanted or not, commenting on just about every aspect of your physical appearance, telling horror stories which really aren't helpful or just making fking 'hilarious' jokes that make you want to rearrange their face. You're just the final straw but really it isn't personal.
I am so grateful that there are only a few weeks to go. If some other clever prick thinks it's hilarious to comment one picking up a bottle of alcohol in the supermarket, they will end up wearing it. Yeah sure I'm about to go and sit in the car park and drink the whole lot. Even if I was- IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. As is telling me I shouldn't haven't found out what I'm having, or shouldn't be driving, or how to raise this child when it is a teenager. Or how your wife is such a mess after breastfeeding and giving birth ruined her body. Thanks for that.
