I spend most of my birthdays alone i have a g/f family and mates i just get pissed watch a film and a good takeaway.

No friends?! I'd suggest joining some social networking, link up with some old school friends, colleagues, ex colleagues, see if you can get socialising. And Match.com.
If I was genuinely in this position on my birthday I would do one of two things.
A selfish evening in, favourite takeaway, favourite tipple on flow, favourite films on.
Or get a load of tenners at the ready and head to the nearest strip club party
