Most ridiculous thing's you've bought from Aldi?
Discussion
So I've previously nearly bought an arc welder from Aldi. I don't do any welding, nor do I need to do any welding. Had I bought it, I would have used it to practise welding, a skill which fun, is useless to me at the moment.
They have an incredible amount of stuff that you think you don't need, and the woman in your life knows you don't need, but you decide in a fit of glorious manliness, that you actually really need.
Anyway, as I'm currently single and therefore have no woman to keep me in check, I ended up buying a car polisher from the Germans in question.
Now, I actually need this so it doesn't really count. My car is a bit of a shed and really needed a proper polish, but trying to do it by hand was just ridiculous. The polisher cost 15 pounds and is essentially a rotating buffer. But it does the job! Absolutely chuffed with it, because combined with some decent polish has made a decent difference on my car. So far on the side I've done it has gone from looking like a ropey 15 year old Teutonic barge to looking like a 12 year old German saloon, used. *yes, that is a perfectly good method of describing how old a car looks.
They sell some pretty good beer there, too.

I bought a Lidl canoe the other week, pointlessly.
Just in time for summer! How much was that? I've to drive past one later...I test-inflated it when I got home and actually, it seems ok. I wouldn't go offshore in it but it looks good for pissing about in sunny weather when there's not enough wind to sail...
