Trendy Beards Why ?

Is it me or does everybody between the ages of 25 and 40 seen to have this silly beard(not designer stubble) look going on do the guys think they look more manly or something ?.Bloody hell even Dale Winton has it going on I know its personal choice but I dont see the point but if its the fashion like combed over hair and jeans too short with no socks on look then my thoughts are it looks silly.What do others think I expect im in the minority and everyone else likes the look ?

I have had a silly goatee before when I was about 21 but as im blonde you could hardly see it I think I grew it in the hope it would make me look a bit older (plus they seemed in at the time).I have not got anything personally against beards everyone to there own and trends/fashion changes all the time I remember when sideburns were the trend not too many moons ago
