We’ve recently started using Barclays for business banking. On my phone I’ve got their app, which had the usual Barclays logo on it. Until the last couple of days when it has changed colour to the “Pride” spectrum.

I am aware that Barclays has a sponsorship relationship with Pride and I have no issue with LGBT issues. But I am not sure I want a gay pride flag on my phone’s home screen. It feels a bit political somehow and as if I am being forced to espouse the bank’s virtue signalling.

Am I just being a grumpy old bd or not?

Yes. Next?
Thanks for clarification. I might write a letter to the local paper then.

I don't understand the fuss, if I didn't want the rainbow icon all I had to do was decline the update that I was offered last night.
Did the update tell you it was going to turn you gay, before you downloaded it?

Yes, the new colours were clearly seen in the update notification.
So you were complicit.

I cam out of the closet as a result of wiping and reloading a phone. I wasn't given any control over my orientation.

This might be the first time ever that I un-watch a thread that I started. Is that even possible?
