It's early I know but we need some optimism and I'm sat out in a hammock and I don't even need a jumper.

So tonight I'll spatchcock a chicken and BBQ it with some trimmings from the ape trees for flavour. lickbeer And then do some stargazing with the kids.

I hereby declare this thread officially open!

I thought you'd jinxed it, rain yesterday and fog this morning. But it's absolutely glorious out, slight chill in the breeze but otherwise perfect! cloud9

I'm expecting the BBQ will get its first outing tomorrow. The sad thing is that it will be a solo BBQ frown
My FiL is in a similar position and really struggling. I can only imagine how tough it is. frownbeer

I just caught myself grumbling it was a bit hot for gardening, so now I appear to be lying in a hammock with a beer. cloud9

Leg of lamb on and my wife's just made some ice cream! It's amazing what gets done when you can't go out much. biggrin

If we hadn't had such a good run recently I'd think the Met Office was broken! They're predicting wall to wall sunshine all week for us.

Only 16 predicted down here. Quite happy TBH.

Random piggy BBQ tonight, the bag I plucked from the freezer turned out to be belly slices. lick

Very happy Weber smoker owner here, although I did get it in the end of season sale.

It's a frightening price difference, if I'm honest! Amazing price if that's a good smoker.
+1 Although I'm hoping it'll last like the kettle BBQs do.

Absolutely gorgeous down here. Should have been kayaking and BBQing with a bunch of friends. Had to make do with a walk and zoom. frown

Glad that northerly's gone, there's a massive fire in Wareham forest which is making life to the east pretty unbearable. Gorse and pine and no rain for weeks. frown
