What are your hobbies?
Discussion
Probably been discussed before but would anybody care to share what their passions are? other than motoring.
I've always had a passion for entomology. The "bug" (pun intended) bit me at about the age of 5 when I became aware of these beautiful winged creatures called butterflies that settled on flowers and from then on I was hooked. It took me to far off places in the countryside to study and has given me a lifetimes pleasure.
My other passion, or obsession, is cricket which I have played and watched for over 50 years although my bowling days are behind me now, I'd need oxygen after 3 deliveries but still enjoy doing a Boycott impression on a Sunday.

Thank you, this is a perfectly timed thread. I have recently taken early retirement (and it’s rained most days since then!) I spent much of yesterday evening thinking about things I would like to do with my time.
There must be more to life than watching Homes Under The Hammer …
I had a serious illness back in 2013 and spent a lot of time watching daytime TV? Including lots of Homes under the Hammer. Started to make me think that death wasn’t such a bad outcome…There must be more to life than watching Homes Under The Hammer …

Also do enjoy a round of golf, problem is that I'm rubbish, distance isn't an issue more direction.
I believe you may have just defined golf for amateurs.I can hear them sniggering behind me like Mutley the dog as I address the ball.

Reading this thread made me realise that I don’t have any. How does anyone who is not retired find the time? I am busy with work all week and weekends are spent catching up with all the household chores for the week ahead.
It's difficult with full time work, family and other stuff but you have to make time and priorities. To my mind if you spend from the age of 16 to 67 just working it's a bit of a waste of an existence. Then you retire and spend all morning watching homes under the hammer, purgatory. I can't imagine life without hobbies and passions.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
