Seeing as the Cat thread is so very popular, I figured I would start a thread for other animals.

Here are some of Doug

Feeding time

Not the best photo the last one but the best one I've got of him with his tounge out tongue out

At least he looks healthy. I used to see quite a few exotics at a practice I worked at. Some of the pathetic states I saw them in from burns, to abscesses, to malnutrition. One lad brought in the care guide sheet he'd been given by the pet shop he'd bought his iguana from. He had been told to feed it veg only. Funnily enough the poor thing was on its way out by the time we got to see it.
I can imagine it happens quite often with exotics, thankfully there are some excellent resources both on the internet and locally for me. The local pet shop knows what they're talking about and all of their stock looks to be healthy. I've had Doug since he was a nipper, no longer than my index finger.

He's a little explorer mind, often jumping around and trying to get into places he's not supposed to be in hehe

I have always had fear of snakes do they make good pet?.
Corn Snakes are the best for beginners (snake wise) but exotic animals do have special requirements. I've never had a Snake but did seriously consider getting one before getting Doug. Depending on the breed they may have special dietry requirements, humidity levels, temperature levels etc.

Corn Snakes are available in a variety of colours and are relitively tame. I'm sure Monkey boy 1 will have better information than me.

Too many cool pets that I want, still fancy a snake but haven't got the room.

That and my Mam would kill me! Just have to wait till I move out.
