30 somethings - are you going to vax?
Discussion
So as the title says really, me and mrs RJWR have had our texts. We've had our first born a week ago and the question came up with the midwife about our vaccination. Oddly enough the answer I got I wasn't expecting. Seems many 30 somethings are not getting boosted and the rate in new mums and or pregnant ladies is very low.
Im not an anti vaxxer (hence not in that topic) I'm just asking one way or another to the 30 somethings, what are you doing?
PS if you are above 30 something, feel free to comment, but this is aimed at the 30's group

I've got more vaccinations than I can shake a stick at, so again, I'm not anti and I'm not saying I'm not getting one, I'm asking whether you are or not, like I said above, Midwife gave me an answer I wasn't expecting. It wasn't really a you must have one, it wasn't a lots are and lots aren't type of reply.

I'm 35. I have no plans to get it. Fit and health (as I can be with 15months of being alone). Covid is yet to pose a threat in my view. If it starts killing in the millions I'll consider it. Travel may be a problem but surely a T-cell or antibody test would do too. I also don't trust this vaccination. It's way to new and hasn't had years of testing. I also would like my body to fight this disease the way it was meant too.
Had a text, letter and now a phone call. If they keep doing that, vaxing me will be the least of their issues.

"I’m told the Indian variant is seriously affecting younger people and especially those that are unvaccinated!
As I said at the start I was very reluctant and built myself up in a frenzy BUT today I got the Pfizer at 9.30am and I’ve had no side effects apart from a sore arm!
Get the jab! Imagine catching it and ending up in hospital on a ventilator and potentially dying"
We may not see the side effects for years to come... We just don't know. Hopefully not. I focus on numbers not the news. The news is trying to scare you. That's how it works

I’ve got a few mates around 30, and their enthusiasm for the jab seems to be just as high as those around my age (40s) or older.
It’s got nowt to do with me what they choose to do (and I truly admire their selflessness as the risk to them is near zero). Because they’re only offered the Pfizer or Moderna jab I do make them aware of this, as it contains information they won’t receive from the WHO, NHS or Government:

I hope you also make them aware of some of Prof Seneff’s other writings and views, so that they can make a balanced decision. Does anyone know how many people under 30 have died from covid? Pointless having a jab for something that is not a risk imo but could have unknown long term consequences.
6 people in the UK died yesterday from Covid, some of these had already had their jabs. It's just ridiculous that they are trying to vaccinate young, healthy people.

Imagine if you said the same about small pox or polio or measles mumps and rubella? 6 people in the UK died yesterday from Covid, some of these had already had their jabs. It's just ridiculous that they are trying to vaccinate young, healthy people.
32, had my first one as has my wife who’s 28, second in mid July.
Not bothered about CV, probably had it as gave up on lockdown l, etc, last summer, but need it to be able to get back travelling for work and as above it’s not just about yourself.
The pandemic is over, it’s the media keeping it going.

Exactly, it’s as stupid as believing the vaccine is only about protecting yourself.32, had my first one as has my wife who’s 28, second in mid July.

For me the stupid thing would be unnecessarily pumping something that has had no long term testing or results into your otherwise healthy body.
Let's just hope the naysayyers (like me) are wrongly being extra cautious or it could be a very different World in 10 years time.

It's not just about protecting you. Its about protecting those can't have the vaccine and reducing the spread to those in the higher risk groups that are only partially protected.
And by reducing the spread you reduce the risk of mutation that the vaccine may not protect against.
Regardless of what you feel your personal risk is, I think there is a moral duty to have it.
The reason we can fight these viruses day to day is because of thousands of years of exposure. Evolution. To stop these viruses is a dangerous game. This virus kills a very small percent of the population. The vaccine is their because the NHS can't cope

A few posts of I’m not an anti-vaxxer, but…
Is anti Vax a bad thing?? I personally would take vaccines for something's I saw posed a big threat where chances are I was going to die. Anyone who is anti Vax... Good on them. They have either balls or just faith in their immune system.
If you want to take every vaccine known to man. Good on you... Do what's best for you

Doesn’t bother me as such, it’s more intriguing.
I’d maybe suggest that the numbers you’re seeing are obviously influenced by the heavy mitigation which has been in place for over a year.
Do note I’m not telling you to take the jab, just suggesting you should make an informed decision.
Sorry I thought you were one of the "you must do as I do brigade". Yeah I keep an eye on the death toll not only in the UK but other countries too.I’d maybe suggest that the numbers you’re seeing are obviously influenced by the heavy mitigation which has been in place for over a year.

We have new vaccines every year for flu variants etc. The bulk of any vaccine development is business planning and queuing for stage reviews, get rid of that and the actual development time is short.
Re your previous post, it's up there with arguing with should drink sewage to fight cholera et al and let the weak one's die...
Isn't this a new type of vaccine though...Re your previous post, it's up there with arguing with should drink sewage to fight cholera et al and let the weak one's die...
You take my point to literally. Though I do feel we do live in a far to sanitised environment, whereby we need medication for everything now...
Only the weak who want "help" should be helped. Don't stick a vaccine in their arm to save the NHS

Re you accusing me of taking your point literally, I am not sure there is any other way of taking it!? This is the funniest point of argument I have ever heard!
Depends if you ever think you will need the NHS for any issue.

depends on your point of view. The nhs is a nice idea. It is terribly flawed though. I personally want to keep the NHS, I don't want my life dictated by them though. We all have to pay into it without any say, that is already a choice we don't have. It is our right to use it. It must work for us thoughDepends if you ever think you will need the NHS for any issue.

The OAZ has is recently new tech.
The Pfizer and moderna jab tech has been about 30 years or so. Its just the recipie so to speak has been tweeked for covid.
Okay good to know. The Pfizer on is causing a stir because it was pulled from animal testing for Killing the animals. Was watching a U.S government case into it. You might want to check my facts on it being the Pfizer one though but I think my memory is correct. The Pfizer and moderna jab tech has been about 30 years or so. Again I think they are pretty safe to use. Just Freedom of choice people

It’s not all about you though. If you have a jab / the jabs, you’re potentially ( almost certainly now it seems) taking another possible host out of any transmission chain, which means old grandma miggins, who can’t have a vaccine, for medical reasons ( for example) stands less chance of getting a death sentence, because someone didn’t fancy doing ‘their bit’.
People need to take responsibility for their own life. If we just looked after everyone else we would never do or get anywhere. I expect my grandparents to keep away from people if they are worried about covid. If they got it I'm not blaming whoever for going about their day to day lifepopeyewhite said:
Staggeringly selfish not to have the vax if you mix with others or have parents or grandparents you see more than once in a blue moon. I don't like the feeling of being coerced into the jab, but killing my older relatives is a far more fundamental concern.
You carry viruses all the time... Before march 2020. You will have already participated in killing someone. If you only now realise that because the government told you... We have a problem with educationGassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
