Hi moorx. I'm not too bad, but not going to go as far as saying great, for obvious reasons! I'll post further in due course - as daft as it sounds having the concentration and focus to compose sentences, as well as speech, is difficult currently.

Just seen this thread.

Al the best Fermit. I appreciate the advice you've given on this forum over the years - I hope you get yourself back into proper shape so you can continue to give it!

Well done on cutting down the booze so much BTW. That's a big drop. It will put you in much better stead for dealing with whatever is wrong with you.

Yes just seen this thread myself. Good luck Rob, hope you get to the bottom of it soon and get a plan that will give you confidence that things will settle down.

It's a horrendous period for many people, we all just want a return to normality

Just a nudge Fermit, hope you're doing ok at the moment and things have been going ok since the last update.

Not so great, but hanging in there.

A brief synopsis:

A few more episodes since. The worst being last Friday, ironically 20 minutes in to one of my first jobs back! This resulted in the customer having to 999 it, and call S to pick me up, having lost most of my ability to form speech. Both my arms and hands crampped up, one of them having my inverted fingers turning a rather vivid mauve colour!

For 72 hours this week I had a Spider Flash monitor stuck to my chest, a device which records heart beat patterns and the like, for irregularities. Not yet had anything back.

During the last episode some shakes started. Either my right arm and hand, or left ankle and foot. Never simultaneously, but if ones still the other usually isn't. This has been perpetual for the last week.

Bad dreams every night for probably the last 10 days, and ringing between the ears continuously.

Work now on hold for a period, to try and take stock of things. I have some Porsche seats with one our trimmers, to work on from home when he's done his stuff, and a few cushions one of our upholsterers wants me to sort for him next week. Other than that emails and phone advising customers that work is on pause.

But thanks for caring enough to check in on an internet (relatively) stranger.

I was only pondering this afternoon that I hadn't seen any posts from you Fermit. Sounds really difficult, and not very pleasant, I hope you get some positive progress soon.

Take it easy. You only get one go at this.
All the best. I really do mean that. Look after yourself.

Don't thank me, we're all part of a weird group and it's natural to look after or be concerned about one of your own group. I'd be just as concerned for any of my real life acquaintances and was hoping your lack of posting was unrelated to your health.

I think I can speak for many of us on PH and honestly say that if there's anything you need help with we're a resourceful bunch and there's no harm in asking for help.

Otherwise, take things easy and do whatever you can to get the right help buddy.

Coming to terms with neurological troubles is very difficult and the nhs doesn’t really deal with rehab very well. There are some private centres which specialise in this area and Hobbs Rehab leads the field. Based near Winchester and worth a call.

Ditto, I find myself wondering how Fermit is doing. He's a talkative chap alright but he's a good egg.

Don’t read this forum very often and sorry to read about your condition.

I enjoy your posting on the animals thread, especially the chicken one.

Hope things are sorted soon.

TY Gary, v kind. There's much updating required to that thread, which would require far too much thinking about considering my current limited head space! Instead I've posted you below a couple of pics of two of the new (none original) runs.

The handsome golden boy is a Brahma, supposedly one of the largest hen breeds around (and anticipating sideways pics,.....,.)
