Skimmed milk? vomit

Have proper whole milk, it'll taste way better and fill you up properly.
yes

Throughout my diet, I still used whole milk, even use it for my protein shakes.

Stopped eating crap like biscuits, though, no matter how healthy they advertise themselves as..

To be honest proper porridge should be made with water but I suppose for southern ponces you add sugar as well! wink

Eat them before the crisps.

A 'Which' article summary quote " In my opinion if you want a biscuit for breakfast then eat one, but don’t kid yourself it’s a healthy option. What’s next? Breakfast cake? Or breakfast crisps?'
Which are a bunch of lightweights. Breakfast kebab. hehe

Which are a bunch of lightweights.
Which is exactly the point.

A question I have been wondering about for a while, if coke zero and the like have no calories apart from the crap that's in it being not good for you,is there any weight loss benefit in drinking water instead?
There is a school of thought which says that diet soft drinks can cause similar insulin spikes to their sugared companions due to tricking the brain that they contain sugars. It interests me too as Pepsi Max is a bit of a habit of mine.

Presumably, then, all foods and drinks containing sweeteners will have the same impact? Including protein shakes.

Classic Bro science. There is actually very little evidence of this. One requires glucose to impact insulin. I've heard diet drinks give you cancer, make you blind but hey you retain your teeth.

That's good news than. Certainly seems to be more evidence to the contrary, than when I first looked.

Ive read both that and the opposite that having a 'diet' drink can help with dieting due to the fake sugar and caffeine.

Fizzy drinks make me feel bloated, though so I only have them as a treat.

Artificial sweeteners don't actually satisfy the body's craving for sugars, so you still want proper sweet stuff. That's the problem.

I only drink diet coke etc as a mixer with a spirit because full fat coke is too sweet. Your comment re satiation is the same reason why low fat cheese or any low fat versions of foods is a waste of time-no flavour no satisfaction.

They say that diet drinks make you more hungry. I just end up drinking more diet drinks. And then pissing more.

I guess we are all different. Black coffee and Pepsi max can get me through a 20 hour fast without me really thinking of solid foods.

Why don't people just drink plain tap water, rather than expensive flavoured water full of sweeteners (of any type) and often pumped full of CO2?

Do many of you get most of your hydration from 'soft drinks'?

Whilst growing up, my parents seemed to hydrate solely on cups of Nescafé.....
