I really don't get that bit- so because I am in a relationship it means I can forget about my looks at how it makes me feel? I still like to be able to style my hair- not just for the other half- but just for everyday life. Just makes me feel better, simple really!
No, not forget about your looks.

But more recommending you to be more pragmatic. Hair treatments are only going to get better and better. Why rush.

But anyway, wish you luck and look forward to your updates.

Are you taking/will be taking Propecia?

Cant even get a half decent car for that. I'd go ahead personally. Hoping in 10 years time it advances so much I'll be allowed to brush my new thor like hair that I swish side to side getting out the swimming pool as the water drops down my excessively large belly.. lol

Makes no sense.

In your pics, you had a baby in background. So assuming you are in a relationship?

So you aren't dating and so dont have the pressure of needing to look good to attract someone.

How do you style your current hair ?

The only length is at the front and that's not connected to anything .

Rather than forgetting about your looks changing them is a better way to think of it , in the 90's i wore baggy jeans and had proper curtains haircut , clinging onto that just because i could would be the wrong way forwards.

Very true, I’m not bothered but I also have a full head of hair so I haven’t had to cross that bridge yet. However for my brother it really affected his mental health, silly I think but that’s how it is for loads of people.
Do you think with your brother the stress is coming from desperately trying to hold onto his hair rather than accepting it's going and closing the page on that chapter ?

It's like being 39 and dreading hitting 40 , you can't do anything about it , we are all getting older and changing.
I don’t really know why it affected him so much, he’s always put too much emphasis on his appearance And how he thinks others perceive this. I think it bordered on mental illness in itself, like always saying how bad fat people were and how people where so lazy that they couldn’t hit the gym, just because he was lean and in good shape.

My other mate tried all sorts of stuff, the hair powder that would run down his face if he got caught in the rain was a funny one, but because he was paranoid about it we all took the piss out of all the time, he went to turkey for his and after kind of had a break down with all the boys in how much it affected him, we all felt a bit sh/t after that!

It’s strange really because I’ve never met anyone in my life and thought, Jesus your hair is receding Baldilocks, but people who are loosing their hair must think others it?!

If you are low on confidence or have anxieties, it shows in your face and body language. People react to that and baldie incorrectly concludes they are reacting to his now hideous self.

The Baldie who is getting on with life doesn't experience this.

Stone me

I started losing my hair in late teens/very early 20's and took the plunge with clippers aged 27.

Shaving off your hair can be a reasonably big thing. There's no way of really knowing what it looks like until you do it.

I was quite happy with mine and (perhaps weirdly) quite surprised how much hair I actually had.

I am now in my 40's. Dad was bald as a coot in his 30s but I still have a reasonable amount on top - it's just thin.

I'd like to have hair simply for a change - I've had the same haircut now for nearly 15 years smile but I'd probably have longer hair for a few days for the novelty, then just cut it short again.

There's a lot to be said for not having the faff of barbers, hair products, etc.

And there is absolutely no way on God's green earth I'd be paying the price of a fun sports car on a transplant yikes

Oh god.. Those were the days. Baggy jeans, glow sticks, curtains... A mix of indie and 808 state era techno and late acid... I looked amazing@ with my curtains and baggy jeans. The opposite sex would swoon% as I hit the dance floor... Halcyon days.

@ I didn't... I looked like dick head... Hindsight really does have 20-20 vision.

% They didn't see above rofl

Thank god for grunge... I looked amazing> as my hair grew and I air guitared the st out of the pixies and nirvana... With a brief spell of gothdom.

>I didn't... I looked even worse... But had a laugh looking like... As my later father so eloquently put it... A big of st roughly tied in the middle.

Exactly. People occasionally make comments about my baldness - shaved with clippers. I couldn't care less.

I'm lean, fit, healthy and don't really care about "image", through possessions or similar. I'm confident talking with people.

Having hair would be a faff I'm glad I don't have.

Having a hair transplant won't make an anxious person happy. They'll spend the rest of their days worrying about the transplant thinning or looking wrong.

If you offered me a full thick thatch on my head and a gut/moobs. Or no hair and lean gut and pecs. It'd be the latter.

No one likes looking at an out of shape man that's gone to blob, man or woman.

Although given the popularity of it, you may be forgiven for thinking that many do.

You'd be surprised. I'm in Leeds and reputable clinics in Manchester and Leeds quoted slightly more.

I went with the Harley Clinic has it really has the best reputation and all the right accreditations....

Shave your head and you will never worry about your hair for the rest of your days. Stress will take years off your life. Nip it in the bud now. Grow a beard.

Do you think you will be happy with one op? Or are you expecting to have another one, or two.
